ECC Ontario 2018 – Overview of the Latest Flavors from Dinner Lady

DeucesJack stopped by the Dinner Lady booth while we were at ECC in Ontario, California. In this video, Faz, alongside Anna, talks us through their new flavors.

DeucesJack: What’s up everybody? Deuces Jack at, I’m At ECC. I’m still at the Dinner Lady booth because they wouldn’t let me go. I’m here with Faz, I’m here with Anna. We’re going to go over some of the flavour profiles. Everybody knows the Dinner Lady Lemon, because everybody buys this thing, but we’re going to go over them, and we’re going to go over some of the other flavours as well. Faz, you want to take it away, you can tell me what we’ve got here?

Faz: Sure, by all means. Hi everyone, thank you for having me firstly. I’ll be like a movie star.

DeucesJack: You are a movie star, you’re on the grey carpet, not the red carpet though, right?

Faz: So my apology for the accent, but it is a traditional British accent. So let’s begin with our traditional Corn Flakes. This is a traditional British flavour, it’s got a rich pastry at the bottom with a subtle jam exhale, so a little bit of sweet. This has just recently won the best cereal flavour in the UK December 2017.

DeucesJack: So it’s Corn Flake and jam, it’s not Corn Flake and milk?

Faz: It’s Corn Flake and tart with a little biscuit pastry, with a sweet exhale.

DeucesJack: Wow, you British are very weird, man.

Faz: I mean, this is a household dessert in the UK. Every kid at home when they come back, this is what we eat.

DeucesJack: Okay, what’s the next one?

Faz: So this is a brand new flavour that we just introduced, it’s Apple Pie.

DeucesJack: Okay, that’s as American as it gets though, Faz. What, are you guys stealing from us?

Faz: Well we think that Apple Pie was actually originated in Britain, but we’ll let you guys have it, we’ll take it from you.

DeucesJack: Have you ever heard the expression, “That’s as American as Apple Pie?”

Faz: I have. But the difference is with this British Apple Pie, is the fact that there’s nothing else like it on the market, the raw ingredients are sourced from multiple sources, nothing from the US, so the actual taste is very unique. Every guy that’s been here today to try it, they were shocked, they were like, “Hey man, I’ve had so many apple pies,” I said, “Try it,” they tried it.

DeucesJack: And you’re going to give me one to try, right? And I’ll report back to my brethren and let them know how it is.

Faz: When you put it like that, how can I say no.

DeucesJack: Okay, what’s next?

Faz: Now, everyone knows the legendary, the famous, the one-off there, the Heartbreak Kid, this is what made us. Now what we’ve done is, because of the success of the Lemon Tart, it’s a unique flavour, a citrus flavour, with an exceptional exhale with a biscuit feel, which is what keeps people coming back. Now we’ve taken that identical copy of the recipe of the Lemon Tart, and what we’ve done is, we’ve produced the Lemon Tart with the Orange Tart, which is the equivalent of the Lemon Tart. So it’s identical, with an orange citrus flavour, very unique. We’re expecting good things from this liquid. So far, the results are absolutely phenomenal, beyond our expectations, so we’re really, really excited about that.

Anna: People love this one.

DeucesJack: What’s after that? What’s this one here?

Anna: This is English.

Faz: Rice Pudding.

DeucesJack: Rice Pudding, that’s an English thing.

Anna: British, whatever.

Faz: Rice Pudding, we [inaudible – 00:03:25] This is a legendary famous liquid, I mean this liquid in Germany I mean absolutely phenomenal response to this. I mean taste is subjective, we all know that, but within the Dinner Lady range we have something for everyone’s pallet.

Anna: And Paris, they love this in Paris.

DeucesJack: Who cares about Paris, really?

Faz: And then we have the traditional, not to be outdone by anyone, Strawberry Custard. Very, very unique, very different to each and any other custard is. A different experience once you’ve been there. In Russia, I believe in November this won the best custard flavour in the Russia show, so really proud of that, really going well, another one of the original Dinner Lady.

DeucesJack: I like strawberries, I’m going to try that one out too man. What’s after that now? On, Blackberry? I love Blackberry.

Faz: This is something that you guys are hearing today.

DeucesJack: That’s a hard flavour to nail though, blackberry, it really is, because it can be overpowering sometimes.

Anna: This one’s nailed, nailed it.

Faz: So you get the blackberries on the inhale, and then again, the Dinner Lady dessert biscuit on the exhale. I mean, we actually were so pleasantly surprised with the performance of this liquid. As the smallest line in the shop, this has become the second best flavour.

DeucesJack: That looks awesome, now what’s with this summer line here, what’s that all about?

Anna: Ah, you’ll love the summer line.

DeucesJack: You love the summer line?

Anna: Yes, yeah. It’s cottontails.

Faz: You know when you’re out here in LA.

DeucesJack: Do you guys actually have summer in England?

Faz: Of course.

DeucesJack: Isn’t it always raining over there?

Anna: We have to come here.

Faz: Our summer lasts what every other day, so one day summer, and then one day rain, and then summer.

DeucesJack: Okay, so what’s this, this is a lychee?

Anna: This is our summer.

Faz: So what we’ve done is, we’ve created, naturally this is our dessert range, we did something that Dinner Lady is very famous for, the quality speaks for itself, the reputation that Dinner Lady Dessert Liquid has built over globally, it’s been phenomenal, we’ve had a phenomenal response as a result. So what we have done is we’ve introduced Dinner Lady Roots to the US, which means when the Dinner Ladies are away, after the school duration, then what happens? The Dinner Ladies go on summer holiday, so this is the Summer Holiday Range from Dinner Lady, and there are five flavours.

DeucesJack: So when the Dinner Lady is away, this is what we play.

Faz: Exactly.

Anna: Yeah.

DeucesJack: Alright.

Faz: So what we’ve done is we’ve created five flavours; a lychee, a cola, something totally special; we call it Black Crush, but absolutely nothing on this—

DeucesJack: Blackberry orange?

Faz: It’s black current and orange. We have a few other secret ingredients which I’m not at liberty to discuss with you, unfortunately. And then we have the Mango and the Strawberry.

DeucesJack: It is one of my favourites.

Faz: We have funky names for all of them.

Anna: Like Strawberry Bikini.

Faz: So this is Strawberry Bikini, this is a bikini for the bikini models like Anna; this is one of her favourites.

DeucesJack: Suntan Mango.

Faz: This is for myself, I get too much tan; Suntan Mango, and then we have the Black Crush, which is the combination of black current, orange, lime, lemon, oh no; did I just let the cat out of the bag?

DeucesJack: Cola Shades I see, right?

Faz: Cola, absolutely doing awesome at the small way in the UK, this just recently won.

Anna: People taste this and they say it’s the best Cola ever tasted.

DeucesJack: Really? Is it a coil killer though? Because a lot of cola’s kill coils, right?

Faz: We don’t have a lot of the Malaysian liquids which are where they come from, they’re very sweet, very high in the VG content, so naturally they are coil killers, these are, from all the feedback we’ve gotten in the UK, not coil killers, they last as normally would, and they’re very phenomenally well.

DeucesJack: You know that’s American too; Cola. You know that, right? I’m just saying okay, that’s all.

Faz: Well, we do class you as our cousins across the pond.

DeucesJack: Your big, strong cousins.

Faz: We love it out here, that’s why we’re here.

DeucesJack: Alright, and then we have Flip Flop Lychee. That’s a kind of cool name, man.

Faz: Yeah, Flip Flop Lychee for when you want to just lounge out, have something special, I mean this will blow you away.

DeucesJack: With a Corona, sit on the beach with a Corona and Flip Flop Lychee?

Faz: No, that’s the next range.

DeucesJack: Anna, which one is your favourite?

Anna: My favourite is Cola, Cola hands down, it’s amazing.

DeucesJack: Cola, yeah? Alright.

Anna: It’s the best Cola I’ve ever tasted.

DeucesJack: Well, guys you heard it from Faz and Anna, at the Dinner Lady booth at ECC in Ontario, California. Make sure you check out some of their flavours, because you know just from what they did with the lemon that this stuff is just bangin’. So make sure you check it out. We’re out of here now, I want to thank you guys for being on camera with me, Anna it was a pleasure.

Anna: Thank you, thank you.

DeucesJack: Thanks for coming to our wonderful country and introducing these wonderful juices.

Anna: Thank you.

Faz: It’s a pleasure to be here.

DeucesJack: Even if you stole some of our American flavours, that’s okay.

Faz: Well you know, all the good ideas do come from over here, but let’s just keep that between us.

DeucesJack: Alright, make sure you check out our new forum,, we’re out of here, deuces!
