First Impression out of the Box

DeucesJack: What’s up, everyone? DeucesJack at vapinginsider.com. Today, I got a tiny little kit for you. Small, variable voltage device, simple yet effective. This is the Ghostick N Ego kit.

Let’s cut down low. Let me show you the tank. Let me show you the mod. We’ll go over the simple way to operate it. We’ll come back on top. We’re going to vape on it. We’re going to talk about it, cons, pros and we’re out of here as usual. See you down low.

What’s In The Box

  • 1x N-Ego 650mah Mod
  • 1x N-Ego Tank (2ml)
  • 1x Extra coil (1.0 ohms)
  • 1x USB Cable
  • User manual

Alright, everyone! Welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today, we’re going to be going over the Ghostick N Ego. This little setup here uses Aspire Nautilus BVC coils. A lot of people like them. It’s compatible with them.

Let’s check out the packaging. Designed by Ghostick in the USA. A little bit of warning on that side, some more branding on this side. On the back, goes over all the specs. Basically, what we have here, you get 2 coils of 1.6 ohm coil and a 1.8 ohm coil. 2ml capacity. Measurements are 16mm x 49mm, 900 internal mAh battery. Got a 510 connection here. Weighs 148 grams, adjustable airflow, top fill, fires from 6-12W. Resistance range from 1-3 ohms and it charges at 5V.

Let’s open it up. Let’s check it out. Here is the packaging. Here is your instruction manual on how to fill. Basically breaks down the whole mod. Here is your charging cable, shorty style, white one. Here is your spare coil. This is the 1.8 ohm. Good for 3.3-4V. You can see it’s a tiny coil made by Aspire, we’ve all seen this coil before, mouth-to-lung coil. On the inside, you got some cotton in there and some wire.

From Top To Bottom

Here is your mod with the tank fully assembled. Let’s start off the top as usual. Two screws holding the top plate in place. A little bit of depression going on around there. I guess, to keep things cool. 510 appears to be gold-plated but it is not spring-loaded. Threading in here is very smooth. I believe this is a 15 or 16mm tank. I think it’s 16. 16s do fit on here. This is the tank that comes with the mod. You can see we have adjustable airflow on the bottom here, with stoppers on both ends. Whatever you adjust on one side, happens on the other. Drip tip and top cap are all one piece. In order to fill, you simply unscrew and pull the piece off. Threading inside is very smooth.

In order to fill, you just take that out and you can’t obviously cannot fill past that point where the coil ends. Otherwise, you’re going to wind up flooding your coil. Nice big fill port here, man. You can get any type of bottle in there. Good job on that. In order to put it back together, just put the top cap back on and screw everything onto the coil.

Operation of this mod is simply simple. 5 clicks on, you can see it’s a voltage mod. You’ll fire it as high as 4.8V. That’s your battery meter, over there. That’s your voltage that you’re in right now. In order to adjust your voltage, you can hit the up and down button. Basically, the lowest you can fire it at is 3.4V then it incrementally goes up. You got 2 spaces in between until you get to 4V and then you have 1 2 3 spaces in between until you get to 4.8V. Nice clicky buttons over here. The plus and minus button clearly marked.

One of the things I don’t like about this setup though is that they put the micro USB port on the bottom. It’s not such a big deal with such a small mod like this but I like having my mod stand up. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have moved it to the side somewhere. There was plenty of real estate. Here is some N Ego branding.

That’s it. This thing is simple as can be. Not really a lot of adjustments here. Not many bells and whistles but it does work.

Let’s cut back on top. Let’s talk about it a bit. We’ll vape on it, cons, pros and then we’re out of here. See you back on top.

General Thoughts

What’s up, everyone! Welcome back on top and you just saw the Ghostick N Ego kit. What can I really say about this thing? It’s tiny, pocketable, 900 mAh internal battery. I like the fact that it takes Aspire Nautilus coils. That’s a big pro because those coils are available anywhere. You can get them anywhere. Easy, easy coils to find.

Let’s get into the cons and the pros.

Cons

First con is going to be the capacity on this thing, definitely a little bit on the small side. I don’t like that.

It also has a very cheap feel to it. So I’m going to give it a con on that.

No spare glass. Come on, man. You got to have a spare glass especially for something like this. It’s so easily tipped over. You can break that glass pretty easily. You got to put a spare glass in there, man. You just have to.

The battery life, 900mAh internal battery, not the greatest in the world. You’ll probably barely get it through a day if this is your only device and depending on how much you vape.

The other con I got to give it is, and I hate this, this is one of my pet peeves. That charge port on the bottom, absolutely ridiculous. You got to lay the mod down in order to charge it. I don’t like that. They’re getting a con for that.

Let’s get onto the pros because there’s a few of them.

Pros

First pro is going to be, I already mentioned it, it takes Aspire coils. Awesome family of coils, takes the Nautilus coils. That’s fantastic. Big pro on that.

Next pro is going to be it’s stealthy. It is. You can put it in a shirt pocket, jacket pocket, pants pocket, you’re good to go either way. It’s small and stealthy. We’ll give them a pro for that.

Other pro is going to be, this is a legitimate mouth-to-lung tank. It’s got adjustable airflow. You can go from a loose mouth-to-lung to a tight mouth-to-lung. Not too tight but tight enough to satisfy most mouth-to-lung vapers.

I’ll give it a pro for its ease of use. 5 clicks on, 5 clicks off, the up and down button adjust your voltage, pretty easy to use.

Flavor is good on it. We’ll give it a pro for that, good flavor.

The last pro I’m going to give it is it’s extremely pocketable. I like the fact that I can put this in any type of pocket or bag pocket. Doesn’t take a lot of space.
