First Impression out of the Box

DeucesJack: What’s up, everybody? DeucesJack at vapinginsider.com. We’re back with another review. Check it out, man. I got the Godria, I don’t exactly know how you say that but it’s the Bolt RTA. Got it on top of the Squid Industries double barrel, my old and faithful mod. Probably one of my most used mods ever.

Let’s cut down low. Let me show you the Bolt RTA, up close and personal. We’re going to slap a build on it. I’ll show you how to wick it up. We’ll cut back on top. We’re going to talk about it, vape it, cons, pros. We’re out of here. See you down low.

What’s In The Box

  • 1 x Bolt RTA
  • 1 x Replacement Glass Tank
  • 1 x T-style Screwdriver
  • 1 x Cotton
  • 2 x Coils
  • 3 x Spare Springs
  • 4 x Screws
  • 7 x O-rings

Alright, everyone! Welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today, we’re going to be going over the Bolt RTA by Godria. There you go, Godria. Comes in stainless matte, black, gold, blue and rainbow. I have the matte black and rainbow. We’re going to be giving this black one away.

Godria Bolt RTA Review

On the back, you can see what you get. You get one Bolt RTA, T types screwdrivers, cotton, two coils, extra glass, o-rings, stainless steel screws, stainless steel springs and a user guide. Here is your scratch and check right here for authenticity.

Godria Bolt RTA Review

Let’s open this up and see what we got here. Here is your spare glass. Here is the actual atomizer itself. Inside the box, you get a card that’s basically like a user guide. Couple of simple pictures there. There’s your tri tool, spare o-rings, spare deck screws and springs. I think I used the coils already so I don’t have them on hand but here is the actual RTA itself. Nice drip tip with a little bit of curve in the middle, I really like that. 510 style drip tip, flat top cap.

From Top To Bottom

In order to open it up, you simply unscrew it. Threading is pretty nice. So far, hasn’t been too bad, definitely better than average. Here you have two large fill ports. Over here, nice wide bore chimney. A little bit of a recession here, so you don’t make a mess if you overfill. Got an o-ring here, keeping everything in place. Like I said, threading is a little thin but it is smooth.

Godria Bolt RTA Review

On the bottom here, kind of weird airflow. You have an airflow but look at that, you really can’t tell if it’s opened or closed and I don’t know why they did this. I have no idea. But if you take the air flow control ring off and you look in there, if you see, when I slide it, you can see the air flow opening and closing. See that? It’s just, it’s a terrible job. It really is. I don’t know why they made the airflow like that so you can’t see it, you kind of got to go by feel. What a real pain in the neck. It makes it really hard to adjust the airflow to your liking.

Over here, we have a gold-plated 510 connection, insulator ring around it, stainless steel threading, some Godria branding right here. The base section comes off like this, just like a regular RTA. On the inside, you’ll see we have a slightly conical design in here, a stepped-up conical type of design. These really aren’t juice flow control ports. Even when it’s closed it doesn’t dry hit. There’s no way to really line them up with your wicking ports, which I’ll show you once we get it all together.

Godria Bolt RTA Review

Here is your deck right here. Gold-plated deck, two posts, one big terminal per post. Here is your airflow right here. These are your wicking ports. You can see, Phillips head screws, kind of thin. I wish they were a little better. You got to be careful. You really don’t want to loosen these springs up too much because if you pop those springs out, they are real pain to get in. They really, really are. So just be aware of that when you get this RTA.

Building

For the purposes of this review, I’m going to use my rainbow one that they sent me to do the build. All you do in order to build this, you want to use simple Claptons. You don’t want to use nothing too big because the deck really isn’t big enough to take it and you don’t want to really go past that airflow right there when you’re building. You basically want to take two coils put them right in the slots, like that. It looks nasty right now, I know. Don’t worry, we’re going to clean it up. You get them into position, give them a little pinch, tighten one side at a time down, a little bit at a time. You make sure you get them nice and snug. Same thing on this side.

Now that it’s all in there, you want to kind of take your lead that you’re going to cut. You want to bend it out a little bit so you make sure you don’t snip the wire that’s actually there. Take your coiling rod and just move this thing around and get it out of the way so you can get your wire clipper in there, to give it a nice snip.

Godria Bolt RTA Review

I hate decks like this for this reason. You really got to mangle your wire around in order to get everything right. I just never liked them. You can see some sticking up over there, you want to get in there and cut it. Same thing on this side, see that right there? That’s an easy one. Just get it in there, give it a snip and then you might want to move this one a little bit and get it out of the way and give it a little snip right there. Now you’re ready to position your coils. Now you want to get it close to the airflow as possible. Same thing on this side, close to the airflow as possible. That looks just about right.

Now we’re ready to pulse and wick. Just want to give it a nice gentle pulse. You don’t want to go too crazy with it. You also may want to give it a bit of a turn or two because sometimes when you initially heat them up, they do loosen up a bit just to make sure you’re making a good connection. Give it a little strum. This one’s having a little bit of trouble over here as we can see. If we get them evenly now, there we go. One more time, just to make sure we’re pulsing evenly. There we go. Very nice. Now all we have to do is wick.

Wicking

Today, we’re going to be using Native Wicks Platinum Blend as usual. I like to give it a little roll in between my fingers make sure you don’t affect the fluffiness of it. Pull it through one side, just like that. Now we’re going to do the other side. There we go, nice and tight. Now on this RTA, you want to cut your wicks right around midway where you see the the juice flow holes. Shorter wicks are definitely better on this one. Like I said, find that circle and cut it right around in the middle of that circle. Same thing on this side. See that? See the circle right there? See the circle right there? Right there? you want to cut it right around the middle, boom! And that’s perfect. You want to take your- whatever you use to tuck your cotton in and just gently tuck it in there nicely. Don’t stuff it in there, make sure it’s got some room. See how I have some room in there? See that? That’s what you want to look like. On this last side, do the same exact thing.

Now you’re ready to juice it up and load up the tank. Juice we’re going to be using today is Ninja Man. Oh yeah, man! If you haven’t tried this yet, you’re doing yourself a disservice. I’m really not a chocolate type of vapor guy. It’s just not my thing but this thing is like spot-on milk chocolate vape. It tastes like you’re drinking a glass of chocolate milk.

So you want to wet those coils up really good. Then you want to give it a little bit of a pulse. Make sure you got vapors. There we go, we got vape. Work that juice in there, give it a nice little pulse again.

Godria Bolt RTA Review

Now you’re ready to put your tank back together. All you do for that is you simply put it on top here. Give it a nice twist and now she’s back together. In order to fill it, take the top cap off, give it a little squeeze and you’re all filled up.

Let’s cut back on top. Let’s vape on it. We’re going to talk about it a bit, cons and pros. Then we’re out of here. See you back on top.

General Thoughts

Alright, everyone! We’re back on top with the Godria Bolt RTA. It’s nothing really special. I guess it’s, nothing that makes you go, “Wow!” It’s a typical RTA, dual coil RTA. It’s 24mm in diameter. It comes in blue, rainbow, gold, stainless steel, and black. You saw the black version up close and then you saw me build the rainbow version.

Godria Bolt RTA Review

Let’s get into the cons and pros.

Cons

First con is going to be that airflow slot there. The fact that I can’t tell whether this thing is open or not and I actually got to pull on it to check it. It’s just a ridiculous design. I got to know how far open my air flow is just by looking at it. I can’t on this RTA, that’s going to be a con.

Going to give them a con for the 2 ml capacity. Ridiculous capacity for a dual coil RTA. Godria, what were you thinking?

I’m also going to give them a con on the fact that it’s almost impossible to adjust the airflow while it’s on the mod for some reason. You just can’t get your fingers in there and turn it. It’s just, I got to take this thing off the mod. I’m constantly checking it to see how open or close my airflow is and I’m constantly adjusting it. I hate the airflow on this RTA.

I’m also going to give them a con on the fact that I saw that an after market bubble glass is available for it but it’s a separate purchase. Godria, that’s a terrible job. Bubble glass should have been included with the release of this RTA. I got to call you guys out on that and keep you straight.

Let’s get into the pros because there’s a few of them. It’s a decent RTA.

Pros

First pro is going to be it’s got really nice flavor. The flavor on this is very very good. It’s not the best dual coil RTA on the market but it’s no slouch either.

I’m going to give them a pro on the semi restrictive airflow when you can dial it in. If you can dial it in so it’s just a little bit open, it’s got a nice restrictive air flow that I really dig. The problem is it’s it’s a problem getting to that point.

We’ll give them a pro on the spring-loaded deck. I like that, that goon style deck, good job on that.

The RTA is actually machined well. Give them a pro on that. It’s got good machining.

Going to give them a pro on a comfortable drip tip. Really, really comfortable. Definitely been enjoying it. Drip tip is fantastic.

That’s about it on the pros.
