First Impression out of the Box

DeucesJack: What’s up everybody? DeucesJack at vapinginsider.com. I got a good looking one for you today. This is the Innokin Atlas. I have no idea why this mod hasn’t been reviewed that much. I did a quick search on it and oddly, nobody reviewed this mod. Nice little mod, man. Dual 18650, 200 watts, does good TC, got that honeycomb design going on right there, matching drip tip, 26 ml atomizers on top with no overhang, it’s got a nice bright screen, 2 amp charging, firmware upgradable. I have no idea why this thing’s not getting reviewed.

Let’s cut down low, check it out up close then we’ll come back. We’ll vape on it, we’ll talk about it a bit, cons, pros, we’re out of here.

What’s In The Box

  • 1 MicroUSB Cable
  • Instructional Manual

Innokin Atlas Mod Review

Ok everyone, welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today we are going to be going over the Innokin Atlas 200 watt mod. Designed by some guy, Sebastian W. It’s a designer series.

Here is a quick tour around the box. In the box, you will receive one Atlas mod, one whiteboard matching drip tip, micro USB cable, quick start guide, user pocket which includes your warranty card, warning booklet, battery warning card and stickers. There’s your security code so you can see if you’re authentic.

Let’s open this up and get down to the nitty gritty. I always like Innokin’s packaging. On the right side is where you will find the mod right here. Let’s take this out for a second and put it to the side. On the left side is where you will find a matching drip tip that I think they just did a fantastic job with and we’ll look at that a little later. We’ll put that to the side. In the box, we have the quick start guide. We have a USB cable. Looks like a nice high quality one and in this little envelope here, there is a bunch of paperwork. We have a Innokin warning and safety manual in a bunch of different languages. Here is your Innokin warranty card. Here is your battery guide. I like that. Innokin’s always all about the safety and here are your Innokin stickers.

From Top To Bottom

Let’s file all these crap to the side right now. Let’s take a look at the mod. Here is the drip tip. Check it out, man. They did a nice job matching this drip tip tp this mod. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Innokin says that this is a full resin mod and I got to tell you, this doesn’t feel like resin. It feels like- almost has that rubbery Vapor Shark type of feel. Not as rubbery but it’s got that silky smooth feel to it. Really really nice.

On the bottom here, you’re gonna notice there’s some venting and it says MMX1 which is 2011 which represents the year that Innokin was started. Kind of cool, I like that. Here is your 510 connection. 24 karat gold plated 510. Has a nice stiff spring to it. What I would call a medium throw. You have some type of geometrical configuration around steel plate here. Nice little touch. I like that. Same thing with the button. You have that geometrical like design right there. You’ll notice, see that button is a little bit raised off the body of the mod. I like that. It’s got a nice clicky feel to it. Screen’s nice and bright. Same thing with the plus and minus button, they’re a little raised off the mod. Clearly marked minus and plus. I really like that. This USB charging port, charges at 2 amp and this mod is firmware upgradable.

I really love this honeycomb thing that they did. Really really nice. Love the colors. The gold, the gree, the red, they did a nice job on it. Sprinkled a little silver and white in there. Nice, nice job. Check out this battery door. They did a nice job on the inside. We have some Atlas Innokin branding. I don’t know who this guy Sebastian is but he’s got his name all over this thing. Nice big magnet here. Nice big magnet here. Coincides with the magnets here and here. Battery strap, bottom contacts are gold plated and spring loaded. Top contacts are button style and gold plated as well. We got some 200 watt over here. This guy Sebastian again and Los Angeles California.

Clear battery indicator markings, plus minus, minus plus. 4 stars screws hold the tray in place. Tray’s nice and clean. They did a nice job with it. This side goes positive side down, this side goes positive side up. Pull that strap so you got something to pull on. Put the battery door back on. Clicks into place nice. It doesn’t move. This thing is solid. It don’t move. They did a good job on it. They really did.

In order to turn the mod on, 3 clicks, 1 2 3. You’ll see the Innokin screen. Let’s zoom in a little bit more. There we go. 3 clicks, we’re on. No atomizer. This is basically- I think it’s the atheon chip. That’s what it feels like to me when I vape it in temperature control mode and stuff. Here we go. The thing times out really fast. There’s your resistance, your mode. Normal preheat, 80 watts. There’s your battery meters. There is your puff counter right there.

Now, this thing will fit. Here is a 28. I just want to show you what the Vandy Vape Triple looks like on it. It doesn’t look bad. There is some overhang on it. It will fit 26ers without a problem. It will definitely fit 25s. This is the Atlas by QP Designs. 25s are no problem at all. There is no overhang. Really nice job on that. I think it looks really good.

But let me show you the atomizer that I’ve been rocking on it since I’ve had it. I’ve had this Aura by Digiflavor for quite some time and I never really had anything that it looked good on. I think it looks great on this mod. Especially with the matching drip tip. I like it a lot. I really do.

Menu System

Now let’s get back to the menu system. Now you notice. I put an atomizer and it’s asking me if it’s the same or what I want to vape it in. you simply scroll through. You get to wattage, you confirm wattage with the fire button. You can see, I’m ohming out at .17 ohms. This will fire as low as .1 ohms. It’s just a really easy menu system. Hit the minus and fire button. Did you see that N and P changed? That will change your preheat from normal to power.

Power will give you a 20% boost on whatever your wattage is. Hit the plus and fire button and you starts scrolling through the temperature control modes. Stainless steel, we’re back in Power mode, Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel. In Stainless Steel, you hit the plus and minus button and it’ll flip the screen. It’ll do that in any mode. Now when you’re in Temperature mode, hit the minus and plus button and you’ll see my watt start to blick. Do you see that? Now I can adjust my wattage in temperature control mode in 5 watts increments. Kind of nice. I like that. Now, if you want to adjust your temperature, you simply hold the plus button until it blinks and you can adjust your temperature in 5 degree increments. Again, really simple, really nice.

You’re in stainless steel mode but now you want to go back to power mode. You hold the plus and fire button and you’ll notice I’m back in Power mode. Really nice job here. Same thing if you want to adjust your wattage. You have to hold the plus button. You’ll see the wattage blink and then it adjust in F watt increments which I really like. All the way up to 200 watts and it round robbins down to 6 watts. Really nice job on the scrolling effect here. I really like that. This is one of the things I like about the Innokin, you just feel like they’re vapers and they make stuff for vapers and I really really like that.

I really like the screen. I think it’s very bright. It works in almost all lighting conditions. They did a good job on this one. They really did.My only complaint about it is it only fires down as low as .1 ohms and that’s going to an issue for some people who like to super sub ohm.

But that’s it. That’s the quick guide around the Innokin Big Box Atlas. Let’s cut back on top.let’s vape on it. We’ll talk about it a little bit, cons and pros and then we’re out of here as usual. See you back on top.

General Thoughts

We’re back on top with the Innokin Atlas. Yuu guys sort this thing down low. This is a pretty mod. I have no idea why it’s not getting more love in the vape community because I got to say, I’m really impress with it. I really am.

I’ve been vaping this Lemonade Stand in it because it’s almost summer here in New York. I’m getting ready for the warm weather. I’ll tell you what, man. It’s been fantastic. It really has. If you guys like Lemonade juices, check out the Lemonade Stand. This is the Blueberry Lemonade.

Cons

Let’s get into the official cons and pros. I don’t have a lot of cons on this one. I really don’t. My biggest con is, it only fires down to .1 ohm. You super sub ohm builders, you’re not going to like that. Me, it’s not a big deal because I really don’t build below .1 ohms the other thing I wished they would have done on this is, I wish they would have taken that 510 and centered it a little bit. I think it would have looked better aesthetically. I think they could have done it. I don’t like it that it’s off to the side like that but it’s not a big deal. It doesn’t affect the vape at all. Neither con really does.

Pros

As far as the pros go, there’s plenty of them. Just look at this thing. This thing’s gorgeous. It really is. I like the form factor. It’s nice. It feels solid. I like the fact that it’s a full resin mod. I can’t believe that this is resin because it has such a smooth silky feel.

We’ll give them a pro on the feel, on the form factor and on the looks for sure.

As far as performance goes, this thing’s a performer. There’s no doubt about it. It’s accurate in wattage mode. TC on this is fantastic. It absolutely reminds me of a dual battery atheon mod from those cool fire TC series. That’s exactly what it feels like when you vape on it. I couldn’t find any information that said it’s actually an atheon chip but let me tell you something, this thing can vape in TC.

Going to give them a pro for the easy menu system. This manu system is easy. It’s simple. It’s very intuitive. You’re going to like it. No learning curve at all.

Also going to give them a pro for the bright screen. That’s a nice bright screen that can be seen in all lighting conditions. China, take a queue from Innokin. They know how to do a screen. This is the right way to do it.

I’m going to give them a pro on that solid battery door. Look at this. This thing don’t move. It’s in there. It’s solid and it’s easy to take off. You got a little fingernail [Inaudible 13:29] boom! It’s off. Great job on the door.

Going to give them a pro that there’s no branding on this thing. I love that. Thank you Innokin. I know what I bought. I don’t need to look at it everyday on the mod.

Got to give them a pro on firmware upgradeable and 2 amp charging. Pro for when you’re on the go. We recommend you always charge externally but there are those times when you’re on a pinch and you want to plug this thing and get to where you got to go. Pro on that.

Got to give them a pro on that honeycomb design. That honeycomb is just beautiful. Pro on that.

Also going to give them a pro on that awesome matching drip tip. They did a great job matching that up to the mod. Love it.

I’m going to give them a pro for the buttons. The buttons are just nice and clicky. The plus and minus buttons are clearly labeled. You always get a pro for that on this channel.
