First Impression Out Of The Box:

The Ego AIO Eco comes in small package but thats because its a small kit. Slide the cardboard sleeve off of the box and it reveals your mod with the tank sitting in a foam insert. Underneath the foam insert is another white box. Lift up the white cardboard and you will see all of the paperwork, spares, spare coil, and a USB cable.

I have to admit, this is a cute little set up. It’s a tiny little 14 mm tank and it made me think of a pod system. In fact, this is probably the smallest you could go without actually converting over to a legitimate pod system. It’s tiny enough to fit in a shirt pocket and it looks like it’s going to be an extremely easy carry.

What’s In The Box:

  • One Joyetech eGo AIO ECO Starter Kit
  • Two BFHN 0.5 Ohm Coil Head
  • Spare Parts Pack
  • One Micro USB Cable
  • User Manual

From Top To Bottom:

The Mod:

What this is, is an all-in-one kit and the battery part of it is what you would call the mod. It’s a simple one-button operation mod. Simply press the fire button to start vaping. The mod is a little thicker than a cigarette. It’s also a little longer than a traditional cigarette. It has a painted finish on it but to be honest, I’m not too crazy about the color that they sent me. Mine is gray with a white stripe and it just looks terrible with the black tank. I think the other colors look a lot better.

There is a USB port for charging located on the side of the mod at the same height as the fire button. The mod houses a 650 mAh internal battery and it is capable of 1 amp charging. The Eco has a 1.8 constant voltage output that is very efficient and gives you great battery life. You will get about 350 pulls per charge. It is a very simple pen device and to be totally honest, there’s really not a lot more to go over.

The Tank:

The tank is 14mm in diameter and it holds 1.2 mls of juice. It is a top fill tank and it comes with a coil pre-installed as well as a spare. Joyetech claims that with this tank capacity, you will get approximately 150 pulls before the tank is empty. Joyetech’s website says that the kit comes with two air caps. One for a more tighter, condensed, airflow and another for a more open air flow. I’m really not sure which one I received but I only got one tank cap in my kit. I’m pretty sure that it’s the looser airflow one because it doesn’t seem to be too tight. I honestly don’t know if that was a packaging oversight or if it is because I got a pre-release version.

The Coils:

The Eco comes with two coils that are .5 ohms. This is Joyetech BFHN coil that has top airflow. I have to say that it is pretty flavorful as far as low wattage coils go. I definitely get some really good flavor off of it. I have tried some Nic salt juices in it as well and the flavor is pretty good that way, too. The Nic Salts allow you to get a really good nicotine hit but without that harsh throat hit. Coil longevity has been pretty good and I have run about seven or eight tanks of juice through this tank with no significant loss of flavor. These are long coils and the coil actually acts as the chimney.

The Look, Feel, and General Aesthetics Of The Mod:

This is a really nice little pocketable mod. I actually enjoyed my time using it. I love putting it in the top pocket of a jacket or in a shirt pocket. It is an extremely easy carry and at the same time, it also gives you a very satisfying vape. Especially if you wind up using some of the Nic Salt juices that were made for a tank like this.

Joyetech Ego AIO Eco Kit Review

Like I said before, I was not too crazy about the gray color with a white stripe that I got. I would have rather one of the other colors. I think the one that I got is probably the ugliest one out of the bunch. I went on Joyetech’s website and I would have definitely preferred the green or red one, maybe even a black one. The black tank just doesn’t match well with the shade of grey and the white stripe that they decided to use on the one that they sent me.

The Menu System:

Since this is a one-button device, the menu system is really quite easy. Click the fire button 5 times to turn the mod on and off. While the mod is off, you have the choice of picking 7 different colors that your tank lights up or you can turn the lights off. While the mod is off, all you do is hold the power button down in order to scroll through the different colors. Each time you hold the button down while the mod is off, a different color will appear. Once you land on the color that you like, you just let the mod settle down. Turn it back on and your tank will light up the color that you chose. The colors available are red, purple, blue, green, yellow, white, and indigo.

How Does It Vape?

One thing that shocked me about this device besides the smallness of it was how fast it actually fires. As soon as you hit that fire button, this thing is producing vapor. It is actually a pretty flavorful vape when you consider what the mod actually is. It’s not much bigger than a pod system and it can definitely chuck some clouds when you compare it to a pod system. This is actually the perfect type of setup for somebody who just doesn’t want to go into a full pod system but still wants something just as small and easy to carry.

Conclusion:

While I’m not too crazy about the looks of the one that I received, I’m sure that I would have liked a different color a lot better. There is no denying it though, this thing can vape and it can vape pretty well. It’s definitely in line, size-wise, with a typical pod system but you have all the advantages of a 14 mm sub ohm tank. For those vapers that want something small and discreet but they don’t want a full-on pod system, this is definitely the way to go. It’s a nice little pen device that is extremely easy to carry. It is what I would call a legitimate pod killer. If that’s what you’re looking for, this one’s DeucesJack approved.
