Lost Vape Triade DNA 250

The Lost Vape Triade is a mod for the vaper who loves TC, uses exotic builds, switches up atomizers frequently and really likes a precise vape experience.

First Impressions Out Of The Box:

The Lost Vape Triade comes beautifully packaged in a leather bound triangular box. Take off the shrink wrap and open the flap on the box and you are greeted by an exquisitely crafted mod that just screams quality, especially for a mass produced mod. Take the mod out and it just feels great in your hand from the smooth paint job to the beautiful leather bound battery cover. This mod is definitely a looker.

What’s In The Box?

Along with the elegant Triade you get a charger cable and a user manual as well as an authenticity card. Not much to see here so let’s move on to the actual mod.

From Top To Bottom:

The Triade has a rounded triangular shaped raised platform. Inside that platform you will find a great looking 510 with really beefy, buttery smooth threading. The pin itself is nice and firm and should make a great connection with all your atomizers. The Triade can easily swallow up a 25mm atomizer with no overhang.

The firing button is nice and clicky with a tactile feel. Same goes for the +/- button. Paint on the mod is a two tone grey, the darker shade is like a gunmetal and the faceplate has the lighter of the two shades on it. Board venting is present on each side of the faceplate with a screen type of material as backing. The battery door on the Triade is where this mod shines in the looks department. You have a few choices of different types of leather for the covering. I have the elephant black and I think it’s just gorgeous. After market battery doors are also available separately. The door itself is really solid. It has two strong magnets as well as a clip. Door movement is very minimal. This mod has no button rattle or battery door rattle. So, if you like to use your mod as a maraca you will be disappointed.

Open the battery door and you are greeted by spring loaded, gold plated, negative battery contacts. When the mod is new these contacts are really tight but eventually they do break in. Still, when you first get the mod take care when putting batteries in and out of the mod because you could damage your wraps.

The bottom of the mod is painted in all dark grey. I have to say I am quite surprised that there is no venting at the bottom of the mod, but I am glad they used the darker of the two colors on the bottom of the mod as this is the part of the mod that will probably get the most wear.

The screen is bright and vivid. It’s also programmable via Escribe. In other words if you so desire you get to choose exactly what shows up on your screen. How’s that for full customization?

The Triade has a USB port located under the +/- buttons. It can be used for firmware and software updates as well as 2 amp balanced charging. While I always recommend charging externally, it’s a nice feature to have for when you are out and about and may not have access to an external charger.

The Board:

The heartbeat of the Triade is the legendary DNA 250 chipset. This is Evolv’s newest flagship board and for good reason. Many vapers will tell you when it comes to TC the DNA is the last word. It is in fact one of the best boards on the market for TC vaping. It has a maximum output of 250 watts and a maximum output voltage of 9.3v. You can adjust your temperature from 200 to 600 degrees fahrenheit. It will fire TC builds as low as .08 ohms and Kanthal as low as .1 ohms. The DNA 250 automatically senses the resistance of your coil so there is no need to manually set your resistance. Of course this board also has a plethora of safety features and warnings built into the board.

Upon gaining passage to the DNA world you are granted access to Evolv’s proprietary software, Escribe. If you are the type of vaper who likes to control every little aspect of your vape than this is the mod for you. Working through Escribe you can accomplish a myriad of different things like, customize your screen, adjust the preheat to your vape, save specific tanks, wattages, and temperatures, save battery profiles, make your own material profiles, adjust how long your screen stays on and much, much more. The things I just listed are just a drop in the bucket compared to all the things that are available for tweaking on Escribe. So if you are proficient with a PC and love to tinker around you will absolutely love this board. That’s not to say that if you don’t enjoy these things that you can not fully enjoy this mod. It does come with all the popular wires pre installed on the mod. So technically you do not need a computer to enjoy a DNA 250 but it is highly recommended so you can get the most out of this mod.

How Does It Vape?

All in all I am absolutely loving this mod. I love the way it looks. I love the way it feels in your hand and I definitely love the way it vapes. The vaping experience is on point and precise. No matter what RTA or RDA I use I get a wonderful, accurate vape. The range on it is fantastic too. I can run my single coil tootle puffers as well as my huge dual exotic coils. Right now I am running my Aromamizer Supreme on it with dual SS Calptons. I am ohming out at .25 at 90 watts in TC with a temperature of 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The vape is just smooth. thick, lush, cloudy and flavorful. I am a TC vaper almost exclusively. For me there are really only three boards out there that have really separated themselves in the TC department, this is one of those boards. This mod is officially Vaping Insider approved.

So, who should buy this mod? I truly believe that if you are just a wattage vaper this mod is overkill for you. Kind of like swatting a fly with a sledgehammer. Unless of course you’re willing to pay a premium for a great looking mod by all means be my guest. This mod is for the vaper who loves TC, uses exotic builds, switches up atomizers a lot and really likes a precise vape experience. I know some vapers will disagree but I truly believe to get the most out of this mod you really need to be a TC vaper.

Available colors are Grey Ostrich, Smoky Brown, Cracked Brown, Purple Ostrich, Red Ostrich, and Elephant Black.

I have a question. I like this mod alot, I want to get into temp control but I don’t have a computer. Can I manually run this without going custom?
