How are you doing, Insiders? DeuceJack at VapingInsider.com. Today, I got a new pod/AIO kit for you. This one’s got an RBA section. Oh yeah, baby! We’re talking about the Artery Nugget AIO. Check that beauty out. I got two of them. I’m going to show you both colors down low.
Before we get into the video, make sure you check out our new merch site. You can get my tagline on a shirt or a hoodie.
From Top to Bottom
Look at that beauty. That’s a nice looking mod. I’m diggin that. What’s that saying on there? Nugget AIO. Nice paint job, nice faux resin panels here. They’re not really resin. They’re kind of like plasticky but really, really nice. Fire button, screen, up/down, type C charge port. Nice job on that. On the bottom, we got some venting. On the top here, this drip tip is not removable but the tank is. See that? Check that out. And look at that clear window right there so you can see your juice level. I like that a lot as well.
Let’s pull the tank out. Let me show you the insides. You got three gold plated pins down there and a circular magnet to hold everything in place. I like that.
Let’s do a quick size comparison. Of course, this is the Nugget, this is the Vaporesso Pod Stick, and this is the Vaporesso Degree. More close in looks to the Pod Stick. Kind of looks like a chunkier version of the Pod Stick. That’s what I thought of it when I first saw it. Now here’s a really nice device that I’ve been using a lot. This is the Vaporesso Degree. You can see, the Degree is more on like the Orion Trinity form factor but basically, the overall size of it is pretty similar.
Let’s check this tank out. Nice and clear bottom adjustable airflow with stoppers on both ends. Whatever you adjust on one, will happen on the other. On the bottom here, this is the base that your coil screws into. This part makes contact with those three gold-plated contacts and that’s how your coil is going to fire. In order to remove the coil, you just give it a twist and it’s really only threaded in on the top there. It’s not threaded in on the base. So there you go. Artery HP coils, we already know all about them, they’re awesome. This is the 1.4ohm HP coil, good for 7-11W. You can see, just a regular round wire build in there. I’ve vaped on this coil before. It’s all right. If you’re a mouth-to-lunger, it’s a nice coil. I’m going to put in the mesh coil. Here is the 0.3ohm mesh coil good for 20-26W. You can see the mesh inside there. I’ve vaped on this coil before too, I happen to like it a lot.
Mod & Menu System
So getting back to the mod, on the front side, you can see, those buttons are slightly raised. They do have a nice click to them. Five clicks, Nugget AIO comes on. There’s your screen, pretty nice and bright, pretty clear. Resistance, battery, wattage, puffs. Here’s your wattage, up and down button. Scrolls in half watt increments, all the way up to 40W and it does round robin. We’re going to start that coil off pretty, pretty slow to make sure we break it in properly. In order to install the tank, you just pop it in and it just freely rotates but it’s in there pretty tight. It’s got a nice magnet, no doubt about that. There, you can see your liquid level pretty clearly. I like that.
Couple of shortcuts on the menu. If you hit the down and fire button, you can turn the light off. There is a light in the tank compartment. Hit it again, you can turn it on. If you hit the plus and fire button, it will lock the mod but you can still fire it. You just can’t adjust the wattage. Hit it again to unlock it. And now, if you hit the plus and minus button both together, the whole mod is locked. You can’t adjust the wattage and you can’t fire it. But if you click it five times, you will be able to turn it off in that mode. So hit the plus and minus button again and everything’s unlocked.
Let me show you what else Artery sent me with this kit. I believe, both of these boxes are a separate purchase. You can get an RBA section and you can get a separate tank. Let me show you the separate tank first. You pop it out real simple, just a regular empty tank. No coil, no RBA, no nothing, just a spare. Same tank that came in the kit. You also get a spare o-ring with it.
The RBA deck is a little bit more interesting. Let me show you what I’m talking about here. Here’s the RBA deck right here. We’re going to put that on deck for a second. You get this really tiny allen key and you better hold on to it because it’s the only one that works for this RBA deck and I don’t even have an allen key, a spare allen key that’s as small as this. It’s definitely below 1.3mm. It’s tiny so just make sure you don’t lose that. You also get a bag of spare o-rings. You can see right there, and you get a coil. Now you get two coils in the kit. You get some spare deck screws as well. You can see how tiny those screws are. Check it out. Look how tiny they are? They’re tiny. This is a spaced simple coil, round wire build. You can see it right there. I did use one of them. I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t like the way it vaped. I put in a simple clapton and I’m getting a much better experience from it that I’ll show you in a second. The other piece that you get is this piece right here and this piece allows you to dry fire your coil because it’s got a 510 adapter on it. So that’s a really nice job, Artery. Well thought out.
Let me show you the RBA section. Let’s zoom in a little bit. You can see, you have your adjustable airflow here, stoppers on both ends. Whatever you adjust on one, happens on the other. Over here, right here, this is your wicking channel right here. That’s where your wicks are going to kind of peek out a little bit. I’ll show that to you in a second. But it kind of reminds me of like the old Kanger Subtank Mini deck. That’s kind of what it reminds me of. You can see right there, tiny, tiny deck, tiny, tiny hex keys. Very, very tough to build on because you really gotta have small fingers. Underneath is where you’re getting your airflow from. Your airflow is coming from underneath the coil and right here are your wicking channels right there.
Now, I’m not going to rebuild this because I’m not going to lie to you, it was a pain in the neck to rebuild. What I am going to do is I’m going to dry fire it and then we’ll rewick it right on camera and I’ll show you how to wick it. So the first thing you want to do in order to dry fire this is detach it from the base just like that. This is the base for your tank. We’re going to put that on the side all right and now you’re just left with this piece which is basically just the deck. Now, what you want to do is you want to take your little 510 adapter right there, the little 510 firing pin adapter and you want to screw this down on it so it’s nice and snug. Now you take your 521 Plus Tab. Shout out to The Coil Master. We screw it on there and you can see, I’m reading about 0.8ohms. Very simple clapton and now we just give it a dry fire. Make sure we got no hot spots. You can see, gentle pulsing. We’re heating evenly from the inside out which is exactly what we want. Now remember, this is a tiny, tiny coil. Look at the size of that coil so remember you don’t want to use a lot of cotton because you don’t have a lot of room in the wicking slot there. So make sure you know you’re not tearing off a piece of cotton than you normally would on a bigger coil. Let’s turn this off for safety and let’s put this right through. See how I’m still nice and snug? That’s how you want it just like that. Now what I like to do, where I like to cut it, I like to cut it so I’m almost like just damming it up. Cut it short like that and I’ll show you why in a minute. Same thing on the other side. Don’t cut this thing so it hangs down too far. You want to cut it real short, just like that. Sorry I was off-camera there for a second. Now when you got this little short piece of cotton like that, now what you want to do is you want to wet this down so you’re able to mold it into the wicking slot.
Juice we’re going to be using today 1885 by Freeman. This is a vanilla milkshake. It’s actually pretty good. Now what we do is we’re going to take our Freeman 1885 and we don’t have to soak the wicks, we just got to kind of get them a little moist so they’re more malleable, so they’re more moldable. You don’t have to go crazy soaking them down, just get some juice on it so it’s actually just a little bit wet. That’s what you want to do. And now what you want to do is you want to take that wet wick and you just want to kind of mold it into this space right here. Take your time, there’s no rush. And just mold it in there, just like that. Same thing on the other side, just repeat the process and that’s what it should look like, something like that. When you’re done with that, you want to take your barrel section and sometimes you got to kind of, especially with a big coil, you kind of got to finagle it on a little bit. Pop it down, screw it on, nice and easy. It’s okay if you got a little bit of cotton sticking out of there as long as it’s loose. It’s okay to have this. See how nice and loose that is? That’s fine. That’ll wick just fine. It’s not tight.
Now what you do is take it off the 521 and now you want to take the base and sometimes, that can be a little tricky because sometimes the base actually gets a little stuck. See what I’m saying? So now you take the base off just like that because you’re not going to be dry firing anymore. Now you take your tank, you remove the base that comes with the tank section. Now you take your newly built RBA deck and just pop it on there. Now if that cotton bothers you, if that bothers you a little bit and you have a nice scissor, a good scissor, you can always just take your vape shears and give it a snip just to clean it up a little bit. That’s no problem at all. The weird thing about this right is once you put the top on, it looks like a regular coil, like a regular sub ohm tank coil. So that’s kind of weird. I’ve never really seen that before. Now you take your base and all you do is just give it a little reverse thread and pop it in there. Make sure it’s nice and tight. And now we’re going to take our top cap. We’re going to unscrew that and we’re going to fill the tank up with our 1885 by Freeman. All filled up. Take your top cap, pop that on, and now we’re ready to vape with the RBA deck.
Let me give you a quick look at the one I’ve been rocking. I’ve been rocking this black one with those blue panels. It’s just a little bit more subtle for me. That blue was a little too loud for me. I’ve been rocking this one and I’ve been enjoying it.

Alright, Insiders. Let’s get into those cons and pros. We’ll start off with cons as usual.
First con’s going to be that tank. It wiggles a little bit. It’s got a little wiggle, wobble, wiggle to it.I don’t like that. That thing should sit in there tighter. I’m surprised at you artery it’s a con.
I don’t like that it has a non-removable drip tip, con.
And the last con is going to be, while I love the RBA base, I think it should be included in the kit. I think that’s a bunch of BS that you guys are selling it separately. Put the damn RBA base in the kit. I think all you companies that are selling stuff like this need to put the RBA base in the kit. I understand you want to sell coils but to make it as a separate purchase in a month or two later, it’s not right. Put it in the kit.
But that’s it, Insiders! Those are my cons. Nothing really that’s a deal breaker.
Let’s move on to the pros.
This thing’s got great flavor at every option. Let me explain. The RBA produces great flavor and the two coils I got produced great flavor. No matter which way you vape this thing, it’s got really nice flavor. That’s a pro. Just a little side note, though, the mesh coil that’s included in this kit is not compatible with other powell devices so just keep that in mind.
I love that sight glass. You can easily see your juice level. Awesome job on that.
It’s got real nice build quality.
It’s easy to use.
That RBA base has a 510 adapter so you can fire your coil. That is a huge pro. Awesome job, Artery.
It’s got a bright screen.
And it’s got type-C charging. I like it.
So let’s talk about this one a little bit.
Let’s talk about the flavor. Right now, I got a 0.81 build in there, 28W on the RBA deck. Check it out. Nice, thick, lush, saturated flavor. I’m enjoying the hell out of it. Airflow, even though I got it all the way open, airflow is very restrictive. It really is. It’s a restrictive lung hit or a loose mouth-to-lung hit. You can definitely legit mouth-to-lung hit. Let me show you what I’m talking about. I’m going to shut down the airflow to like a quarter. Check it out. Just nice. Very, very, very flavorful. I’ve been enjoying the hell out of this RBA base. The mesh coil is fantastic too. The other coil is not really my jam but I like the RBA base the best out of all of them, I really do. I wouldn’t go anything bigger than a simple Clapton. That’s the biggest I would go at 2.5mm. That’s my recommendation.
What I love about this kit is it has something for everybody. If you’re a builder, you can buy the RBA base and you can build. If you’re not a builder but you like direct lung, you can get the mesh coil. If you’re not a builder and you like mouth-to-lung vaping, you can use the mouth-to-lung coil. If you’re either one of them, if you’re a mouth-to-lung vaper or a direct-lung vaper, you can use the RBA base too if you build as well. It’s got something for everyone. I love versatility. I love products like that. Artery, you guys did a bang-up job on this one. You did such a good job that this one is actually DeucesJack approved. Make sure you check out the link down below and go get yourself one of these.
