What’s up, Insiders? DeucesJack, I’m at VapingInsider.com. Today, I got something a little different for you. Today, we’re going to be going over the Augvape Cos. It’s a rechargeable power bank for your Juul system. Yeah, I know, everybody’s hating on Juul and everything. Listen, I got a Juul and I use it and so do a lot of other people so this might be of benefit to them.
Before we get into the video, head on over to our Facebook group. We’re going to have a link down below. The bigger the group gets, the stronger we get, the more informed we are. Head on over there and check it out. There’s a great group of people over there.
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
Let’s go over the actual charging bank. Got a little bit like some faux carbon fiber, a little bit of branding. There’s your type-C port right there with an LED that lets you know what’s going on while you’re charging it. It’s red while you’re charging it. There’s your lanyard attachment point right there. You got this little slot right here. You can see, you have two gold plated pins right there. In order to charge your Juul, you just take it, you slide it in like so. Once you slide it in, that blue light comes on and now you’re already charging.
One thing I wish Augvape would have did, you see how this only sticks out a little bit? I wish they would have made it a little shorter so you could actually vape while charging because this thing is actually small enough that you know it would be no big deal if I had to vape it out of here. I think that would have been kind of cool. Another thing that kind of annoys me is that it’s hard to pull out. You can’t really pull it out. You kind of got to bend it out a little bit like that in order to get a grip and then you really got to finagle it to get the Juul out those pins in there. I don’t like slanting them to the side like that. I don’t know how well they’re going to hold up to that push-to-the-side all the time. That kind of worries me, it really does. But otherwise, it works just fine. You just pop it in there like so and you’re charging. Sometimes, when you take it out, it takes a little bit of time for the blue light to go out. But that’s no big deal. It’s just a nice, slim 1000 mAh battery for your Juul.
Check this thing out. It’s a lanyard, right? Here’s the attachment point right here. You can squeeze this little piece right here and pop it off just like that. If you want to take it off, clip it back in. Here’s the release point for the actual charging cable. Pops out just like that and look at that, how awesome is that? Type C charge cable disguised as a lanyard, kind of cool. When you want to put it back together, you got to make sure the buttons are on the outside. See that? See those little push things right there? You got to make sure they’re on the outside. Make sure they’re lined up and then you just pop it in and you’re back to lanyard mode. But that is absolutely awesome that you could carry this in your bag with this strap on it and you have a type C charging cable. Awesome, ingenious, fantastic idea.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
- 1 x AUGVAPE Cos Power Bank
- 1 x Type-C Lanyard
Alright, Insiders! We’re back on top. Not a lot to go over here. It’s just a power bank. We’ll do some quick cons and pros and then we’ll chat about it for a minute or so. This is going to be a short review.
My only con with this thing is I wish it was easier to get the Juul out of the actual charging bank. I kind of feel like I’m bending it out sometimes to get a grip on it and pull it out and I I don’t know how that’s going to affect that pin over time, that gold plated pin that hits the battery contact. Not a fan of that. I wish they would have put some type of cutout on top here so I can get my finger in there and pop it out or just make this part a little lower so I can get a grip of the Juul. That would have been nice.
But that’s in on the cons. Like I said, it’s just a power bank. Not a lot to complain about. Let’s move on to the pros.
The first pro is going to be, it’s small, it’s slim, it’s pocketable.
The price point is around $15, definitely worth it if you Juul.
The biggest pro on this thing, the thing that I was most impressed with, I love that lanyard that doubles as a Type-C charging cord. Awesome, absolutely ingenious, Augvape. I think it’s fantastic. Great job. I don’t like lanyards, I wouldn’t hang it around my neck but I’ll tell you what, I’m just impressed as hell with the way you guys design that thing. Great, great job.
So that’s it, Insiders. Those are my cons and pros.
What do you want me to say about this thing? It’s a power bank. Does it work well as a power bank? Absolutely. If you’re a Juul user and you need something that slim and pocketable that you want maybe you want to slip it in your front jeans pocket and charge your Juul while you’re walking around or while you’re sitting somewhere where you’re not allowed to vape, this will do the job. Nothing wrong with it, it works. It’s definitely worth 15 bucks if you’re a Juul user. And that’s where I’ll leave it.
Let’s go over some of the specs on the Augvape Juul power bank. It measures in at 104mm x 40.3mm x 10.5mm. It has a 1000 mAh battery. It takes from 1.5 to 2 hours to charge from dead to full. It’ll charge a jewel fully in about 40 minutes.
- Size: 104 x 40.3 x 10.5mm
- Input/Output Voltage: 5V
- Charging Time: 1.5-2H
- Charging Pod: 40Min
Big shout out to Augvape for sending this one my way. I appreciate being able to review different types of products.
