This thing is a great knockaround mod. It’s an easy carry. It’s light, it just gets the job done like a knockaround guy should.
What’s up, everyone? DeucesJackie, I think that’s what HealthCabin thinks my name is. They sent me a pink mod. Check it out. I got the Hugo Vapor Orbiter. I don’t know, man. I never got sent a pink mod before. I got my pink Freemax FireLuke mesh Pro on top of it because it’s the only thing I had close to matching it. It’s not terrible looking but it’s not great looking either. I don’t know, man. The Box said red camo. This is not red camo this is pink. You’re going to see it when we go up close. I don’t know if HealthCabin thinks that DeucesJack is a woman or something like that but you sent me a pink mod, man. Come on. It’s all good, though, man. Real men can rock pink. That’s why I put the pink tank on top of it. It’s a uniquely shaped mod, it really is.
When I first got this mod, I’m looking at it, I’m saying to myself, “This shape reminds me of something but I just can’t place it.” And then it finally hit me, I’m like, “What does this remind me of?” You know what it reminds me of? A piece of Scamorza cheese. Now you Italians out there are going to know what I’m talking about. I’m going to put up a shot right now with it side by side on the Orbiter. Check this out. You tell me this doesn’t look like a piece of Scamorza cheese in pink.
So anyway, it’s lightweight 70 grams in weight, measures in at 96 x 58 x 38mm, 230W, fires down to 0.06 ohms and it’s really comfortable.
Let’s cut down low, let me show you everything up close and personal. We’ll go over the whole menu system, everything. Then we’ll come back on top. We’ll chat about it a bit, cons, pros and we’re out of here. I’ll see you down low.
What’s In The Box
From Top To Bottom
Alright, everyone! Welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today, we’re going to be going over the Hugo Vapor Orbiter mod. Check it out. A little bit of Orbiter branding, on the back. Notice that? It says Red Camo. This is not red. This is pink. Trust me when I tell you. Some of the specs, you can pause it here and read it. Scratch and check right there. On the back of the box, tells you what’s included. You can pause it there and read it. Also has some more specs, 230W mod, fires down to 0.06 ohms, dual 18650. Let’s check this thing out.
One thing that’s really cool about this mod, though, man, is the box almost feels empty because this mod is super light. Look at that pink beauty, check it out. Quick tour around it then we’re going to put it on deck for a second. We’ll go over the paperwork and the rest of the contents of the box. Take the foam insert out. We have a box within a box. Inside that box, we have a rather nice braided micro USB cable for charging and updates, Hugo Vapor warranty card, a battery safety card and an Orbiter user manual.
I’m going to tell you right now, it’s too bad they didn’t make it in that color red or they didn’t make the camo that color red because that’s absolutely gorgeous. What happened, Hugo Vapor? I don’t know, man. File all that to the side.
Let’s go over the mod itself. Look at this thing. That is not Red Camo. That absolutely is pink. Got a trigger fire button over here. Like I said when I was up top, this thing is shaped like a piece of Scamorza cheese. Kind of different. Plus/minus, menu button, there’s your screen, there’s your micro USB port for charging and update. Look at a contour on it. Got a little bit of venting over there. Nice silky smooth finish to it, I do dig that. Here is your battery door, it’s one of those push down and pull out. On the back there, we do have some battery indicator markings but they should be done in white. Gold plating over here, button style. No battery indicator markings on the bottom of the tubes there so that’s a bad job. But there are gold plated button style contacts down there.
Batteries were going to be using today are Golisi 18650s the S30 Pro Series. Shout-out to Golisi. In order to put the batteries in, positive faces the battery door on this side. Negative faces the battery door on this side. Push down, push in. Very solid, not going anywhere. No battery rattle. On the top side of the mod, we have the star of david. Two black star screws over here. Gold-plated, spring-loaded 510 that I would say has a stiff spring with a medium throw. Nice stainless steel threading around there.
Let me show you what a few different atomizers look like on here. Here is the Aromamizer Plus. This one’s 31mm. Really doesn’t look bad at all, man. Technically, it really doesn’t overhang from the mod. Not too much gap in there at all, nothing. To be honest with you, maybe a little bit, over there but man, 31s actually look really good on here. Let me show you what I’ve been running on here. This is the Freemax mesh pro. Never thought I’d have a need for a pink tank. It doesn’t look terrible on there but it really doesn’t match but it looks, I don’t know, I guess it’s got kind of the same pink theme. This is 25mm so 25s look great on it and so do 30s.
Screen And Menu System
So here is your screen, you can see you have separate battery meters. That is your time out screen there. Hugo Vapor, you can see it’s got the date and the time. There is your mode, your degrees. Right now, I’m in stainless steel 316. Your puff counter, 80W, 0.19 and there is your puff counter in seconds. That’s your settings here and that information here. Now in order to change your settings while you’re in stainless-steel mode, click the fire button three times. Now you can see, you can set your TCR. You can also set your wattage. You can go to default settings and you can exit. Click the menu button three times and you can scroll through your different modes. You can see, I have power, curve 1, preheat, bypass, nickel 200, titanium, stainless steel 316 and back to power mode. We’ll leave it in power mode for now. Now you can see our screen changed a little bit. It says power over there, 80W. 762 puffs, 1.95V, 0.19 resistance and there is your puff counter in seconds.
Now in order to get into your other menu system where you can access the gear and info, you hold the Menu button and you’ll see the gear is blinking. Hit the menu button again and now I can adjust my time, I can clear my puffs, I can adjust the brightness of the screen, I can change the background of the screen to these different colors. We’re going to keep it on red. Here is my factory reset right there. If I hit the menu button, I can factory reset it. See? It’ll say reset, yes or no? We’re going to hit no. if I want to lock the mod, I hit the plus and minus button together. Now it’s unlocked, now it’s locked. When it’s locked, it still fires but the up and down button does not work. In order to unlock it, hit the plus and minus button together again.
That’s it, folks. That’s the whole menu system. We’ll do a quick tour around the mod. I gotta say, the form factor is very comfortable. This trigger button right here is very comfortable. You can see, it’s kind of raised. A little bit on the cheap side and I wish it had more of a curve to it but it feels very similar, believe it or not, to the Wotofo almost feels as comfortable as that mod in your hand. That’s how comfortable this is to hold. You can see, it’s got these little cutouts. These little contours, so when you put it in your hand, it really fits nicely like there’s a little ledge here to rest your thumb on. Very comfortable. The trigger fire, even comfortable to hold like this and thumb fire. I’m just digging the overall shape and feel of this in my hand. Let’s cut back on top. Let’s talk about it, cons, pros and then we’re out of here. See you back on top.
Alright, everyone! We’re back on top with my special DeucesJackie edition, Hugo Vapor Orbiter. 0.96 inch TFT display, made out of nylon fiber in stainless steel. Has a real smooth silky feel to it. Extremely comfortable to hold. The only mod that’s more comfortable than this is that Wotofo Recurve and this approaches it. It’s that kind of comfort. 30mm tank, no overhang. You saw it down low. I love the trigger fire button on it. It’s available in splatter, flash and red camo but we know red camo is really pink camo. It does decent TC, it feels slightly underpowered in all modes but the TC on it is not bad, it really isn’t. Definitely was pleasantly surprised with that.
Let’s get into the cons and the pros.
First con is going to be, HealthCabin, you sent me a pink mod. I got to give you a con for that.
Next con is going to be, it seems a bit underpowered. We covered that already.
It’s a little bit goofy looking, the shape. We’re going to give them a con for that.
It does have a little bit of a cheap feel to it. Definitely feels on the cheap side so we’re going to give them a con for that.
The color choices are just crappy. I got to give them a con for that.
The menu system on this is not intuitive. They didn’t make full use of that menu button. I think they could have done a lot more with it. I’m going to give them a con for that.
The clock resets when you swap the batteries, that’s a con.
And when the screen is in timeout mode and you press the fire button to vape, there’s definitely a delay. So I’m going to give them a con on that.
Let’s get into the pros because there’s quite a few of them. There really is.
Lightweight, it’s a lightweight mod, that’s a pro.
It’s an extremely easy carry, I like the color display, that’s a pro.
3 button interface even though they didn’t take full advantage of it, pro.
TC is decent, that’s a pro.
I love that trigger fire button, pro.
It’s got an awesome form factor that I said earlier. Reminds me of the Wotofo Recurve. Not the way it feels but how comfortable it actually is. So we’re going to give them a pro for that.
It’s got that smooth rubbery finish and it’s been holding up really well so I’m going to give them a pro for that.
30mm fit on this thing without any overhang. That’s a great job, Hugo vapor.
That’s it for the pros.
