This thing is a great knockaround mod. It’s an easy carry. It’s light, it just gets the job done like a knockaround guy should.
What’s up, everyone? DeucesJack, I’m at vapinginsider.com and I got a voice-activated mod for you. The first one of its kind, I believe. I have the Ijoy Avenger kit, dual 20700 mod, 234W comes with the Avenger sub ohm tank. It’s voice-activated and it accepts your commands.
Let’s cut down low, let me show you everything up close and personal. We’ll come back on top. We’ll talk about it a bit, vape on it, cons, pros and then we’re out of here. I’m going to see you down low.

From Top To Bottom
Alright, everyone! Welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today, we’re going to be going over the Ijoy Avenger 270 kit. It’s got voice-control. Yeah, check that out. A little different, huh? Got some Ijoy branding over there, some faux carbon-fiber, Ijoy scratch and check right there, some more faux carbon fiber. On the back, we got what the product includes. Pause it here if you want to read it. Over here, you can read it, also pause it here if you want to read it.
Let’s open this thing up and see what we got. Nice box, like that faux carbon fiber. Nice presentation, definitely a little different for Ijoy. There is your warranty card, here is your mod. We’re going to put that on deck for a second. Here is the tank that comes in the kit. We’re going to put that on deck. Inside the box, you get an Ijoy Avenger user manual. You get a vape tank ban, some spare o-rings and a 510 drip tip adapter. You get a spare straight glass, an 18650 battery adapter, a black micro USB charge and update cable. You also get this 0.35 ohm coil good for 40-80W. See? Lots of cotton in there.
Traditional style coil, no mesh inside there but plenty of cotton. Nice, big fat coil. Here is the tank that’s included in the kit. Nice-looking tank, pre-installed bubble glass. Ijoy on the drip tip, it’s a metal drip tip. Not too crazy about the metal part. I wish they would have used a resin. You really get a metallic taste from it. 2 o-rings, 810 style drip tip. Top cap screws off like so. Threading is real nice. Nice beefy o-rings to keep everything in place. You got a recessed fill port here so if you overfill, it’s not a big deal. Nice big juice ports here. You can accommodate almost any bottle, even bullnose bottles. Bottom airflow tank with stoppers on both ends, whatever you adjust on one side, happens on the other side.
On the bottom of the tank, designed by Ijoy, Avenger tank, gold-plated 510 connection insulator ring around it, stainless steel threading over there. In order to access your coil, like every other tank, you just give it a nice twist. Out comes your base. You can see, I’ve been using this coil. Still has good flavor even though I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it. This is the mesh coil, 0.15 ohm good for 40-90W. Definitely a nice flavor chaser coil. I’ve been enjoying the flavour on this one and I’m still enjoying it.
In order to put your tank back together, you just screw the base back on like so. In order to fill it up, take the top cap off. Juice we’re going to be using today is Vape Wild’s Lemon Sansation. Kind of like a lemon pastry vape. Just give it a nice squeeze, fill it up. Get that tank nice and full. Like I said, you can go past the recessed part. It won’t be a big deal. Once you do that, put your top cap back on, pop on your drip tip and now we’re ready to vape.
Here is the Ijoy Avenger mod. You can see, we got four star screws holding the top plate in place. A little bit of a stainless steel ring around here, stainless steel threading. Gold-plated 510 which I would call a short throw with a stiff spring to it. Definitely digging the centered 510.
You can easily fit 30mm atomizers on here with no overhang. This is my Gold Voltrov. I wanted to put it next to the IPriv for you and now the Ijoy only takes 20700s but these are the only two voice-controlled mods I know of. You can see, they’re very similar in size but not in look. Very, very similar. There’s the back side, very, very similar in size. The look is just very different.
Here is your screen, a little bit of Ijoy branding. You have LED lights over here, micro USB port over here. This is your fire bar. Very, very sensitive fire bar. You can fire it from a little bit below 50%. It’ll definitely fire. It just takes a little bit more of a push. Up here, it’s very, very sensitive. So just be aware of that.
Nice looking mod. I like to color scheme, the gray and black. They did a nice job on it. Battery door has a little bit of a groove here so you can get a grip. Open it up. On the back there, you can see the battery indicator markings are black on black. Bad job, Ijoy. They should be in white. Gold-plated button style contacts.
Ijoy, if you’re not going to put battery indicator markings on the bottom of the tubes that are clear, you got to at least put them here in white. They have to be done in white and very bright. You have to be able to see that. There are gold-plated, spring-loaded contacts on the bottom. Now, remember, this mod only takes 20700s.
You cannot run 21700s in here. Batteries we’re going to be using today are Golisi 20700 s32 Pro Series. Shout-out to Golisi. They make some nice batteries. Positive side facing the door on that side. Negative side facing the door on this side. Slap it down, push it down and push it in. Now you see the screen.
Here are the voice commands that the Ijoy Avenger will recognize. Let’s try a few of them. “Hello Ijoy.” See the mic come right there? That means it’s listening. “Lock device.” See the lock come over there? “Hello Ijoy. Unlock device.” Now it’s unlocked.
“Hello Ijoy. Power low, power low, power high, power high.” and it’s also got a few other features like music, lights and stuff like that. You can also shut it down from here. “Hello Ijoy. Shutdown.” See? You can shut it off from there. Kind of cool. It’s cool for the first half a day and then after that, you’re like, “Why am I talking to my mod?”
Let me show you how to go through the regular menu system but let’s go over the screen first. Wattage over here, normal preheat, puffs, voltage, resistance. These little tires here on the car, that’s your battery life meter. I don’t know why the hell they’re putting a car on a mod named The Avenger. I have no idea what it has to do with being an Avenger or vaping but they did it anyway and you can’t change it. I wish they would have some different UIs. They do not.
I hit the fire button three times. You can see, you’re in power mode. That’s temperature control mode. You got a choice between Ni, TI, stainless steel, M1, M2 and exit. One, two, three. Here’s where you control your lights. You can go through all the different colors. Red, green, blue, white. All the colors of the rainbow. you can have them flash, fade, do whatever you want with them. Very, very customizable. Let’s keep it back on red. Three clicks again, that’s your preheat, normal, hard, soft. User is your power curve. You can do power curves on this one. You just scroll through then when you’re done, hit exit. Here’s your TCR menu. Here’s your settings menu. You can pick your screen timeout, your puff reset, AI voice on or off. You can’t change the voice like you can on the Smok. You can reset your puffs right there. This is your screen time. I keep mine on the lowest, 30. Hit the plus and minus button together and it’ll read the resistance of your coil again.
That’s it, that’s basically the whole menu system. Here’s a look at the whole kit put together. Let’s cut back on top. Let’s talk about it, cons, pros and then we’re out of here. See you back on top.
Alright, everyone! We’re back on top with the Ijoy Avenger kit. You just saw it all down low, man. Fires down to 0.06 ohms. Has full TC functionality but the TC, it’s just all over the place, man. Typical, typical IJoy TC. It’s just not good. I don’t know when they’re ever going to get around to fixing it. People have been complaining about it for years. Ijoy, why don’t you just give up on TC and just make power mode mods? That’s how bad your TC is. It feels a little shy after 234W especially when I vape it next to my DNA and Yihi chips. It feels more like 200W to me.
It’s too bad that the voice commands, they look like they were written by someone whose native language is Chinese. Why wouldn’t you go out and hire an American in order to get the proper language that we actually speak. I mean, the commands are just kind of silly. They dropped the ball on that. They really did. Ijoy, what are you thinking? You got some Chinese guy converting our language and Google instead of just going to a regular American and paying them a few dollars to help you come up with the proper commands? It’s just a bad job on the voice activation as far as the commands go.
Let’s get into the cons and the pros.
First con is going to be metal drip tip. Don’t like it, never did. That’s a con.
Bad TC, we already spoke about it, con.
Fire bar is extremely sensitive a little too sensitive. I’m giving them a con for that.
The screen is busy. It’s got that dad that thing going through it. That heartbeat thing going through it. I got a car on my screen. I don’t know what that has to do with vaping with wheels as the battery meter. Give me a break, Ijoy. You’re getting a con for that.
It’s on the big side. We’re going to give it a con for that.
It’s got a lack of themes. You can’t change the screen. You gotta have that stupid car on your screen all the time. That’s a con.
And it’s gimmicky, it really is. The voice activation is gimmicky. It’s cool for like a half a day but it’s not like you’re going to stand at the bus stop and talk to your mod because you’re going to look like an idiot. So we’re going to give them a con for gimmick. But I’m also going to give them a pro for being innovative in the pro column when we get there.
Let’s get into the pros.
First pro is going to be it’s got a nice form factor. I like it. Feel solid in the hand. Has a centered 510. The build quality feels good. We’ll give them pros for that.
Plenty of LEDs that are customizable and can be turned off. That’s a pro.
The voice recognition is innovative but it’s gimmicky, like I said before.
The tank actually has really good flavor. It’s got a nice capacity. We’re going to give them a pro for that.
Tons of colors available. You got black, champagne, green, rainbow, purple, stainless steel and blue. So that’s kind of cool.
The screen is big and bright. I’ll give them a pro for that.
The menu system is easy, that’s a pro.
It scrolls in half watt increments. We’ll give them a pro for that.
Firmware upgradeable, pro.
The paint job on it is nice. that’s a pro.
I’ll tell you what, now that this thing has been out for a while, the price point at under 50 bucks is definitely a pro for what you get. So we’re going to give them a pro on that.
