What’s up, Insiders? DeucesJack, VapingInsider.com. Today, we’re going to be going over a little nic salt kit. Check this little guy out. This is the Sikary Atma kit. It’s a little variable wattage kit. Got a choice between 810 or 12W.
Before we get into the video, head on over to our Facebook group. We’re going to have a link down below. The bigger the group gets, the stronger we get, the more informed we are. Head on over there and check it out. There’s a great group of people over there.
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
Simple, little device. Check this thing out. Got a little tank section over here. We’re going to go over it in more detail in a second. Here is your mod and here is your micro USB cable for charging. Very simple device. Fire button, LED, the micro USB port on the bottom. No venting, star screws holding everything in place. Nice stainless steel finish, I like it. Kind of got that brushed aluminum type of finish. I like it a lot. On the top right here, you can see, you got two gold plated pins. They’re going to make contact with the gold plated ring over here and that’s what’s going to fire your coil. Something very interesting, this is a replaceable coil. You only get one in the kit. That is going to be a con.
You pop it out. You unscrew it, just like that. These coils got no markings on it whatsoever. This is the 1.2 ohm mesh coil. There’s also a 1.4ohm coil available as well. In order to take it out, you just pop it out like that. In order to install it, you just screw it into the base like so. A very, very simple type of coil. It looks like an Artery type coil. We’ve all seen this type of coil before. Let’s prime this thing up and see how it actually works.
The juice we’re going to be using today is MNKY Bizzness. This is a salt nic I got from ZampleBox. It’s a banana mango slushie, 25mg. Let’s see how this thing does.
The first thing you want to do, you might want to put like a drop or two right down the middle there. Don’t go crazy because the juice ports are really small here. You don’t want to go crazy getting them all juiced up, just put a little bit of juice on them like that. And then what we’re going to do is we’re going to take our semi juiced up coil, we’re just going to pop it in there like that. You gotta kind of got to push it so you get past the o-ring and then you screw it on. The top of the coil is actually screwing onto a plastic piece over here so I’m not too sure how that’s going to wear over time. Non-removable drip tip. This part doesn’t come off. It’s about as comfortable as a 510 drip tip. You got a side fill over here. But here’s the interesting thing. You really can’t get that side fill to open unless it’s installed in the mod. Clearly marked there, to the right is closed, to the left is open. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to open it and it’s really tight. There you go, it’s nice and open right now.
And now we’re going to take our MNKY Bizzness and we’re just going to fill it up. Let that coil soak for a minute while we go over the mod. You can see it filling up over here on that side so that’s kind of neat. I do like that. You can see your juice level and there you saw it just started to come out so that’s when we stop and we turn it to the closed position just like so. Now it’s all closed up and filled up with juice.
Let’s do a quick size comparison. This is a kind of small, simple mod. So I wanted to compare it to stuff that’s smaller and in its same type of form factor. Here it is next to the Smoke Mico. You can see, Mico’s shorter, chubbier but along the same overall size. The real one that I wanted to compare it to is the Vaporesso Pod Stick. That’s kind of what it reminded me of when I saw it. It’s definitely a little shorter. Feels heavier. It’s heavier because it feels like it’s built a little better. I’m not sure. It vapes better than the Pod Stick but it feels better in the hand. This definitely feels cheap when compared to the Atma kit.
Very, very simple menu system on this one. Five clicks turns the mod on. If while you’re vaping, the mod is showing the red light, you’re at 3.7V in battery life. If it’s showing the red to blue light, you’re at 3.7-3.9V. And if you see a light blue light, you’re at 3.9V. This light also lets you know what mode you’re in. When you’re showing the green-white light, you’re at 12W. When you’re showing the white light by itself, you’re at 14W. So in order to change the mode, you click the button three times. Now you see the green light, that’s 10W. Now you see that semi green-white light, that’s 12W. And now you see that solid white light, that’s 14W. Overall, just a very, very simple kit. Very, very easy to use. It’s going to do well with nic salts because of the 1.2 ohm coil. I don’t have the 1.4ohm coil but I’m sure that’ll do well with nic salts as well since it’s above-ohm.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
Alright, Insiders! Let’s go after those cons and pros. First con’s going to be, this thing takes way too long to charge. It’s just way, way too long. Not happy with that, especially of a mod this size. It’s a con.
And the last con’s going to be, it’s got very lackluster flavor and cloud so it’s actually hard to go forward from there once you don’t like the flavor or the clouds.
But let’s let’s try to do that. Let’s move on to the pros.
It’s small and it’s pocketable.
It’s easy to operate.
You get two coils in the kit.
And it’s got decent build quality.
So that’s it, Insiders! Those are my cons and pros.
This is a really simple kit that to be honest, which I really wasn’t really impressed with. I spoke to you about the flavor and clouds. Let me show you what I got here. I got some nic salts in it, running it at 10W. The flavor is not particularly good. The clouds aren’t particularly great. It’s not something that I can tell you to run out and go buy. I just can’t do that. I got to keep it real. It’s especially hard for me to tell you to go out and buy this kit when you got all these other kits like the Breeze NXT, the Squid Squad. You got that new Artery Nugget, all these variable wattages. You got the new Vaporesso Degree. You had all these new little pod systems that aren’t much bigger than this and they got a lot more features, better flavor, better clouds and you can adjust the wattage. You don’t just have three settings at 810 and 12 watts so it’s very hard for me to recommend this kit. It’s built nice, the flavor is not that great, and the clouds aren’t that great. I’m just going to leave it at that.
