What is up, everyone? DeucesJack at vapinginsider.com. I got a nice kit for you today. Big gorgeous 2.4 inch screen, I’m talking about this Smoant Naboo kit. It has some haptic buttons that can be turned on and off. I’m going to show that to you. It comes with the Nebulizer tank and two, that’s right, not one, two mesh coil, 225W with a real simple menu system.
I got a lot to say about this one. So let’s not waste a lot of time. Let’s cut down low. I’m going to show you everything up close and personal. We’ll come back on top, we’ll talk about it, vape on it, cons, pros and we’re out of here. I’m going to see you down low.
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
All right, everyone! Welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today, we’re going over the Smoant Naboo kit. I got the rainbow one. Let’s check this bad boy out. A little bit of Smoant branding over there, some Naboo branding. On the back, you can pause it right here if you want to read it. Tells you the specs, 225W mod, comes with the Naboo tank. Charges of 1.5 amps, go up to 225 watts. Let’s check this thing out. Check that out. Look at that rainbow. That’s looking good isn’t it? Here we got a bunch of spare o-rings. We’ll file them to the side. Here is your spare straight glass but the bubble glass comes pre-installed. We’re going to put that back inside.
Let me show you what’s in the rest of the box. On the bottom of the box, you get this nice micro USB cable for charging and updates. You also get this mesh 0.17 ohm coil, good for 60-100. You get two of these. One is a spare, one comes pre-installed. Check it out, nice big beefy coil with big juice ports right there to promote some good wicking. As far as paperwork goes, you get a battery warning card, you get a warranty card, you get a QC certificate, you get a Naboo tank user manual and you get a Naboo user manual for your mod, as well.
Look how beautiful that drip tip is and how nicely it matches. Really, really nice job on that. We have an 810 style drip tip with the o-ring on the outside of the drip tip. There is your catch cup, this is not a slider, thank God because I hate sliders especially if they don’t have a locking system. This is a screw off top cap with a recessed fill port. Fill ports on both sides, they are kidney bean-shaped. Please excuse the condensation. I did just wash it out. Bubble glass comes pre-installed. Look at this massive airflow on the bottom. Look at that, that thing is just huge. Stoppers on both ends. Whatever you adjust on one side, happens on the other side. They did a nice job with the machining here. You got a little bit of knurling so you can get a grip.
On the bottom, Naboo sub ohm tank, we have a stainless steel 510 insulator ring around it, stainless steel threading around that. In order to access your coil, like every other sub ohm tank, I don’t know why, this one does it. For some reason that coil stays stuck on that chimney every time I try to pull it out. This is the coil I’ve been using, same exact one that I showed you as the spare. You get two of the same coil and I don’t mind that with this kit because this coil is actually really flavorful. Put this kit back together just like so.
Let me show you how to fill this thing up. Juice we’re going to be using today is Vape Wilds Hannibal’s nectar. Look at this thing man, I’m almost out. You guys know I love this juice. Like a fruit salad. In your tank, basically with the fill port cap off, just hold it right over those kidney bean-shaped fill ports and just give it a nice squeeze. And that’s it man, I’m all out of Hannibal’s Nectar, I’m going to have to order some more because I love this stuff. Once you’re all filled up like that, just give it a nice twist on the top there. Put your drip tip in and now we’re ready to vape.
Here is the mod and the tank altogether. This thing’s a fingerprint magnet but check out this big screen. Nice fire button over here, rectangular with curved edges. See this button right here? This button is going to turn, basically, your up and down buttons off. I’ll show you it when I put some batteries in it. Look at the nice design on the back, some Naboo branding over there. Love the location of the micro USB port, that’s for charging and updates. I like that it’s as far away from the tank as you can get. This way if you have some dripping going on. You don’t have to worry about gunking up that port. I do like these little cutouts right here, I kind of dig that, man. I think the rainbow job on this is just phenomenal. On the bottom we have some battery venting and you’re also going to notice right here, you have a place for your fingernail. All you do is stick your fingernail in there and lift that battery cover off. Check out that battery cover. You got some nice strong magnets and even the magnets are done in rainbow so that’s kind of cool. You got this plastic backing over here for safety, just in case one of your battery wraps has a tear. I like that. You got these two little tabs here and these little indents over here that stop the battery door from moving. They like kind of clip it in there. That’s a nice job on that Smoant. And look at this battery tray, that’s the way you do a battery tray. Venting, clear battery indicator markings, gold-plated contacts on the top, gold-plated, spring-loaded contacts on the bottom. Really nice, clean battery tray. Great job on that, Smoant.
Batteries we’re going to be using today are some Golisi 18650 S30 Pro Series. This one goes positive side down. Pop it right in there. This one goes positive side up. Slap it right in there. Now watch this. Hear that? This thing don’t movement. It’s awesome, they did a nice job on that battery cover, they really did.
THE SCREEN & MENU SYSTEM
We’ve all seen this screen before, right? This is the typical Smoant screen with their clock feature. But where are the up and down buttons? Let me show you. You hit this button right here and now you see the haptic buttons up here and I can scroll up and down with haptic feedback. If I keep my finger on the button, it scrolls really fast all the way up to 225W and it round robins without stopping so just be aware of that. So we’re going to go back up to 80 where we had it. Look how fast that thing ramps up, right away. Now, if you don’t want to hit the buttons while you’re vaping, you hit this button and you turn them off. And now you can hit all you want over there and nothing’s going to change. Kind of cool man, definitely digging that.
Let’s go over the screen well real quick. There is your wattage, there is your mode, there is your puff counter in seconds, your preheat, your resistance, your voltage, your time and it’s got this whole speedometer thing going on over here. Here is your battery meter right here. But Smoant didn’t listen and they still got these busy spinning gears there. I actually hate them, man. I just wish they would just get rid of them. They took more real estate up on the screen as opposed to, what was the other one that they did this on the screen on? I think it was the Charon Mini. So they listen to that part, but they got to get rid of those moving gears. I don’t like my screen being busy and move.
Now, like any other small air mod, in order to get into the menu system, you click the menu three times. Now, you can see we have variable wattage mode, TC mode, settings and wallpapers. Variable wattage mode, self-explanatory. TC mode, you have a choice between nickel, titanium, stainless steel or manual TCR and a TC curve, which is kind of cool. Also, in the settings menu, just gets it highlighted. Hit the fire button. You can adjust your brightness, your time, your display. You can pick your screen saver, timeout time, factory reset and you can adjust your vibrate mode, kind of cool.
Here are your wallpaper settings. You have a few different wallpapers. You can go through there definitely getting a little better as far as the wallpapers go. At least there’s no, you know, Gordy looking Asian chicks on there. So I’m happy about that. Put it back into variable wattage mode. Here’s where you pick your preheat, minimum, normal or max. I normally keep it in normal and there we go. We’re back on the regular screen.
Now if you want to lock the mod, you hold the up and down button and now it’s power lock. Meaning, it’ll fire but you cannot adjust the wattage. See? Now if you want to unlock that feature, hold the up and down button together and now it’s unlocked and I can adjust the wattage again. Really simple intuitive menu system. We’ve all seen it before with some of the other Smoant mods like the Cylon and everything. No reason to change it because it just works well.
That’s it for the kit. Let me give you one last look of it all put together. Let’s cut back on top. Let’s vape on it, let’s talk about it, cons, pros and we’re out of here. See you back on top.
All right, everyone! We’re back on top with the Smoant and Naboo kit. Got to tell you man, one of my favorite kits in the year, so far. This bad boy measures in at 91 x 48 x 31 millimeters. Has 1.5 amp charging. The tank fits 4 mls of liquid with the bubble glass. I think it’s closer to 5. 2mls with the straight. It has a music mode. I don’t know. man. It’s a little innovative but it’s kind of silly. I’m not going to sit there with my mod in music mode, you know, not my thing. But for some people, I like that thing. If you like it, it’s there. I love the way they use the button. That third button to lock it on the side of the mod, the way they executed that, is just phenomenal. Great job on that, Smoant. It has the Smoant chipset in it ao you know it’s accurate in wattage mode and it’s got really good TC. Fires down to 0.1 ohms. And it’s available in black, red, stainless steel and rainbow.
Let’s not waste a lot of time. Let’s get into the cons and pros. We’ll start off with the tank first.
What’s In The Box
- 1 Naboo 225W Mod
- 1 Naboo Sub-Ohm Tank
- 1 4.0mL Bubble Glass Tube
- 1 2.0mL Spare Glass Tube
- 1 Extra Mesh Coil
- 1 Micro USB Cable
- 2 User Manual
- 1 Battery Warning Card
- 1 Warranty Card
- 1 Certificated Card
The con on the tank is I wish it had a little bit more capacity. 5 mls is okay but I would have liked to have seen it a little bigger. The spare glasses that they gave you, and then with a 2 ml mode glass, that’s a bunch of BS, Smoant. Just give me a spare bubble glass. Why would I want to go from a bubble glass to a straight glass and don’t, don’t tell me it’s because of TPD because I don’t give a shit what happens over in Europe. I don’t care. Then make one just for the American market.
Only one drip tip included, we’re going to give them a con for that.
Pros, on the tank, it’s got great flavor. Really nice cloudage, it’s well machined, it’s got a great top cap, it’s got smooth airflow. It matches the mod beautifully. You get a nice comfortable drip tip even though it’s only one. I’ll give them a pro for that.
You get two mesh coils, that’s a pro. And it keeps up beautifully when you’re chain vaping. Man, you can chain vape the hell out of this mesh coil at like, 90W and it keeps up, so that’s a pro.
All right let’s get into the mod now. We’ll do the cons first.
First con’s going to be, this thing’s all screen so it’s a fingerprint magnet. So just be aware of that.
The other con is going to be, Smoant, on that classic screen, those spinning gears, they’re ridiculous. I don’t want to see movement on my screen. We said it on the Charon Mini and all the other ones that you did the spinning screen on the gears. I don’t want it, I don’t like it, I don’t like moving parts on my screen. So you guys got to get rid of that. You got to update the clock feature because the clock is hard to see. Put a real clock on the damn thing.
And the other con is going to be, it comes in limited colors. There are only four colors available.
Let’s get into the pros because there’s plenty of them.
First pro, the thing that jumps out at you the most is that awesome big-ass screen. Love it, going to give them a pro for that.
Great haptic buttons, those buttons, they have awesome feedback. They’re very sensitive, probably the best haptic buttons on the market right now. I’m going to give him a big pro for that.
Centered 510, pro.
Holds 28mm with no overhang, pro.
Its firmware upgradeable, we’re going to give him a pro for that.
1.5 amp charging, pro. I would have rather seen 2 but 1.5 is okay.
Fires fast, pro.
It’s well-built, this thing feels solid in the hand. We’re going to give them a pro for that.
Great form factor, pro.
Great battery door, that battery door is going nowhere. Pro on that, Smoant.
Has the curve feature. Some of you guys are going to like that. We’ll give them a pro for that.
Really super easy menu system, that’s a pro.
Has three different UIs, you can customize the wallpaper, that’s kind of cool. I’m going to give them a pro for that.
No rattles, no nothing, the build quality on this thing is solid. I’m going to give him a pro for that.
And the battery life, the battery life on this thing has been pretty awesome man. I’ve definitely been enjoying it.
Right now, this kit is probably my favorite dual 1860 of the year, up until this point. It’s right up there with the Vaporesso Polar and the Luxe and the Proton, right up there with them. Man, it’s it’s that good. It really is. I’ve definitely been enjoying it. This one is definitely DeucesJack approved.
