If you are a Double Barrel owner, then the Peacemaker V2 is a must purchase. No atomizer looks better on that mod. If you are the type of person that enjoys the simple things in life, then you will love the Peacemaker V2. It is an extremely well built RDA that has 2 awesome drip tips included in the package. The vape quality that it puts out is on point. The flavor is fantastic and the clouds are massive. Easy to build, easy to wick. Drip down the middle all day long. Really not much more I can say except for the fact that the Peacemaker V2 is DeucesJack approved. This is just one badass-looking RDA. Complete the look of your Double Barrel and go get one now.
First Impression Out Of The Box
The Peacemaker V2 by Squid Industries comes in a simple black box. Everything is on one level and as soon as you open the box, you will see the RDA, the spare drip tip, and the accessories pack. The first thing you notice when you open this box up is that the RDA looks like the cylinder of a revolver. It’s just a really nice look that I’m sure will go extremely well with my Squid Industries Double Barrel mod. I really like the look of this RDA, it’s just badass, and I can’t wait to put some coils in it and see how it vapes.

From Top To Bottom
This is my second product from squid Industries. I also own a Double Barrel which I reviewed here as well. It seems to me that the things that Squid Industries produces are just all about the simplicity. I mean, let’s face it, the Double Barrel is not exactly a technological marvel. It may not have all the bells and whistles of all of the modern day atomizers on the market today but its simplicity is part of its attraction as well as its biggest selling point. It just works and it works extremely well. It looks like Eric from Squid Industries took the same approach when he developed the Peacemaker V2. There is nothing groundbreaking on this RDA but it works and it works well. We will go over in detail right now.
This RDA may have one of the best Goon style drip tips I have ever seen. It has the perfect height and width to give you a very comfortable vape. It is a chuff style drip tip but it’s not one of those shorty tips that gives you bacon lips. It definitely has enough height on it to keep your mouth far enough away from the top cap should it get hot while you are chain vaping. It just works very well. Another thing that I really like about this package is they did include an Ultem drip tip as well. The Ultem drip tip is a little shorter and more of a traditional style chuff cap. It’s still not one of those really short ones that will burn your lips should the top of the atomizer get hot. Both drip tips are just extremely well done and I have to say that I’m very impressed so far. If you’re going to develop a simple RDA, then you have to make sure that you pay attention to the really fine details when it comes to every aspect of that RDA. It looks like Squid Industries knows that as well. I would have liked to have seen a 510 drip tip adapter so we could run all of our traditional 510 drip tips. That would have been nice.
The top cap is done very well on this RDA. It has a flat top but around the edges of it, there is a slight beveling downward. There is also some branding but you really have to look to see it. It has a single o’ring that keeps it attached to the sleeve. The tolerance on that o’ring is absolutely perfect. There are three air hole slots on the top cap AFC ring, so you can run this in single coil mode if you choose to do so. For me, I really wouldn’t list that as a pro or a con. I tend to be of the opinion that if I want to run a single coil, I’ll use a single coil atomizer. Since I’ve had the Peacemaker V2, I’ve been running it in dual coil mode only. The top part of the exterior of the top cap does have a smooth finish. I think this part could have definitely benefited from a little bit of knurling. The AFC on the top cap is not hard to adjust but a little bit of knurling would have made it a bit easier. The inside of the top cap has a kind of flat design and I do wish they used a more conical shape when it comes to the interior. I think that would have improved the flavor on an already flavorful RDA.
The sleeve on the Peacemaker is machined beautifully. This is one thick sleeve, in order to accommodate the deep grooves for that cylinder look. As I said in the beginning of this review, it is machined to look like the cylinder of a revolver. If that is the look that Squid Industries was going for, then they definitely nailed it. It does look absolutely beautiful. The sleeve does have two airflow slots. They are cyclops style slots. This is a side airflow RDA and, of course, it is adjustable via the AFC on the top cap. I will say this about the Peacemaker V2 RDA. It does come to you extremely clean. I always run all my new stuff through my UC. With this RDA I could have just gotten away with a rinse in the sink. There was no machine oil residue or burrs present.
The sleeve of the Peacemaker RDA is held in place by two o’rings that go around the base of the atomizer. The two o’rings have an absolutely perfect tolerance and so far they have served me very well. Turn the atomizer over and on the base you will see a serial number as well as some Squid Industries branding. The one unfortunate thing about this RDA is it does not come with a squonking pin. That’s kind of a shame because I think this RDA would have been a very competent squonker. The 510 pin is gold plated and fully removable. There is an insulator ring and the threading on the 510 is absolutely smooth. The Peacemaker V2 has sat flush on every mod that I have used it on but to be honest, this thing really has been living on my Double Barrel because it just looks fantastic.
Because this RDA looks so fantastic on the Double Barrel mod, I really do wish that Squid Industries would have made this RDA in the same exact colors as the Double Barrel mod. If you happen to have a black Double Barrel mod, then you’re definitely in luck because the RDA will match up beautifully. If you are like me and you have the champagne or if you have the new Army green color, it’s going to be tough to match this thing up. I would have definitely appreciated being able to get a Peacemaker in the same exact color as the mod that I own. That would have been awesome and I think it would look absolutely phenomenal. Right now, the Peacemaker V2 is only available in black and stainless steel.
No big shakes here, this is a standard velocity style deck. However, there is a reason a deck like this is so widely used and popular. It just works well. Two posts with two terminals per post is what we have here. The one thing about this velocity style deck is it does have huge post holes and it is done extremely well when it comes to the detail work that they put into it. It uses some very high quality, flat head, deck screws. The terminals are nice and wide so it can accommodate some big builds, including flat wire builds. There is some nice space between the two posts so the airflow does move around quite freely. The juice well is definitely on the deep side and this atomizer does hold a nice amount of juice. Like I said before, nothing here is groundbreaking or innovative but Squid Industries took a tried and true deck and it did it extremely well. Sometimes the simple things in life are the best things in life and it seems like that is Squid Industries mantra. If that’s what they were going for with this deck, then they definitely accomplished what they set out to do. It is extremely simple, yet very effective.
Building And Wicking
We have all built on a velocity style decks before. Especially if you are the type of vaper that has been vaping for a while now. This is one of the simplest and easiest decks to build on. It’s great for a beginner or someone that is totally new to building. The reason it’s so great is because it lets you mount both coils at the same time and it gives you enough space to be able to cut your leads. It also gives you enough space to make your coil adjustments. This deck is also extremely easy to wick.
Simply feed your coil leads through the terminal slots. Tighten it up with the flat head grub screws that are on the sides of the post. Cut your leads. Pulse your coils and get out all of the hot spots and now, you are ready to wick. Next, feed your cotton through the coil and cut the ends of your wicks. I like to cut my wicks right at the bottom of the base. Then, I take my wicks and I gently tuck them into the corners of the RDA. Make sure you do not stuff your cotton in and that you place it in there gently. Juice up your wicks, put the sleeve and top cap on and now, you are ready to vape.
How Does It Vape
This is my second product from Squid Industries and so far, I have to say that I have yet to be disappointed. I know it’s a very simple setup but I’m telling you they did a good job with this and it has some really good flavor. The airflow on it is super smooth and it has that swooshy type of feel to it. I have put quite a few builds through this RDA and I have to say, so far, I am extremely happy with the quality of vape that I have received. Not only is the flavor on point but this thing is a cloud chucker. If you open up the airflow all the way and crank up the wattage, you can cloud up a room in no time. I think it’s a fantastic, simple RDA that could find a place in any vaper’s collection.
Right now, in the Peacemaker V2, I am running framed stapled alien coils. They are ohming out at .12 ohms and I have it on top of my Double Barrel at 98 Watts. I get an extremely lush, dense, flavorful, cloudy, saturated and thick vape from this setup. I have run all kinds of juices in this RDA because my taste in juice is very wide ranging and I do tend to vape on a lot of different juices. One thing I have to say about this RDA is I have enjoyed my custards and bakeries more in this RDA than any other type of juicce. I’m not saying it doesn’t do a good job with all of the flavors. I’m just saying, I like my custards and bakeries the best in this RDA. They just seem to have a little bit more of an intense flavor when I run them in the Peacemaker V2.
Sometimes, if you spend enough time with an RDA, you find little quirks with it that just seem to work for you. I have found one on the Peacemaker V2 that I happen to really enjoy. If you turn the sleeve upside down and put it on the base of the RDA, when you put the top cap on, it will essentially cut your air flow slot in half. What it also does is it positions the airflow slot directly under your coil to give you an almost bottom airflow kind of flavor. It’s a neat feature and I don’t know if Squid Industries did it on purpose or if it was an accident. Whatever the case, I really enjoy running this RDA that way. I’m not exactly an airflow hog so to cut the airflow down in half, is actually a good thing for me. The only con to running the sleeve like this is you can only run the half open slot one way. There is no way to taper the airflow down further. That’s fine with me because I love the airflow this way.
Another thing I really enjoy about this RDA is the fact that you can just drip right down the middle. I’m not a coil painter. I hate RDA’s that make me pull the top cap off and paint my coils. To me, it’s just annoying and I would much rather just squirt my juice down the middle. Yeah, I know I’m a bit lazy. With the Peacemaker RDA, you can just squirt your juice right down the middle. It has enough space between the post for your juice to hit the bottom of the juice well. Both drip tips are wide enough to drip right down the center.
What Would Have Made It Better
- Squonk Pin
- Top Cap Needs A More Conical Shape
When you are dealing with an RDA like this, one that is so simple, it is really hard to come up with things that would have made it better. The only thing that could have possibly made this RDA better is the inclusion of a squonking pin. I mean come on man, squonking is becoming the really big thing now and every RDA should come with a squonking pin. That’s just a fact of life in the market that we are in right now.
I would have definitely liked to have seen a more conical shape to the interior of the top cap. Don’t get me wrong, this is already a very flavorful RDA but I think a more conical design to the interior of the top cap would have definitely put this RDA over the top as far as flavor goes.
