Timesvape Reverie Review

Alright, everyone! Welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today, we’re going to be going over the Timesvape Reverie. It’s a collaboration between Timesvape and Tenacious TX. He’s a YouTube reviewer. There is some branding and social media on the side of the box. Timesvape branding over there, Tenacious branding over there and designed by Stan from Tenacious TXVapes. On the back of the box, we got some specs and what’s included in the kit. Pause it here if you want to read it. There’s also a scratch and check right there. Let’s check this thing out.

First thing you notice, you get this kind of neat Timesvape polishing cloth. File that to the side. You also get a spec sheet in a couple of different languages. You get a spare parts pack with a blue flat head screwdriver and a solid 510 pin, some spare deck screws as well. Here is your spare drip tip. It is goon style. It is extremely short and I just don’t like it. I’ll be honest with you. I’m going to be pulling that drip tip out and using another one. This is just way too short for me. You also get these two coiling rods. I don’t know what they’re made out of. That kind of feel like ceramic. Almost like a kind of glass or porcelain. They’re weird, I don’t like them either. I use my own coiling rod, to be honest with you, but I guess it’s a nice touch.

From Top To Bottom

Here is the RDA. Again, super short drip tip. Just not digging it, man. Why did they include two of the exact same shape? Ones blue and nicer looking but what if I don’t like this type of drip tip? Why didn’t you include a different style? I just don’t get it. All my other 810 goon style drip tips do fit fine in it so I’ll definitely be changing that out. Kind of weird little thing going on here, like a saucer type of thing. I don’t know, man. I don’t like that cut out. You think it would act as a heat sink but it really doesn’t. When you use the super short drip tip, your lips press against here and this definitely gets hot. So I’m going to be finding a drip tip that’ll keep my lips off of that plate right there because I just don’t like the way that feels.

Here is your airflow right here. You can see, that’s fully open, all six open. If you turn it this way, you can only have the bottom open, just three, just one and then if you turn it the other way, you can just have the top side open. Kind of cool the way they did the air flow. I like it. Definitely different.

On the bottom of the RDA, we have some Timesvape branding and Stan signature, a serial number. It also comes pre-installed with a gold-plated squonk pin, insulator ring around it. There is stainless steel threading over here. I don’t know what’s going on with all these companies pre-installing the squonk pin. Not a fan of that, guys. If I want to put the squonk pin in, I’ll put it in myself. I don’t need it to be pre-installed. Definitely becoming very annoying.

Pull the top cap off. You’ll see, there’s two sections to it. This is the first, this is the one with your airflow over here. Kind of a conical design, nicely machined. Definitely well-thought-out, that’s for sure. Here is the second piece. That first piece, the top piece right here, is held in place by that o-ring right there. You slide it right over. You do have some Reverie branding over here. It’s not that clear. I think they could have done a better job on that. You got six airflow slots right here that can be blocked off with this piece.

Inside is where the interesting part happens. Notice how the inside of the deck bulges out and reduces the chamber and it takes that airflow and it slaps it right up against either side of your coil? I definitely like that. That’s a nice job. There’s also a locking barrel system. You can see the little notch right there. That’ll lock your barrel in place and won’t allow it to spin. I like that as well.

Building

Now, here is the real interesting part of this deck. Check that deck out. It’s meant just for single coils. It really doesn’t get any simpler. It’s one of the simplest decks I’ve ever built on. All you do is loosen your flathead screw right there, drop your lead and tighten it down then loosen the flathead screw over here. Drop your other lead in and tighten it down. The really hard part about this thing is wicking it and they’ve even made that a little easier. Let me show you why. This whole deck section basically comes out. It’s got quite a few threads on it so be patient. That whole deck section comes out and if you want, you can wick it with the deck section out and then kind of pull your cotton through and hang it on one side. Now I’ll be honest with you, I really haven’t taken it out. You can take it out to clean it and everything but I haven’t done that. I kind of been wicking it, pushing it through and then pulling it out with the tweezers on the bottom. I find that just much easier than removing the whole deck section but it’s good to have an option like that.

Timesvape Reverie Review

In order to put your deck section back in, you simply slide it on the base like that and you spin it back on. Now you’re ready to rock just like that. There is your squonk pin right there. Now you’ll notice, there’s a little bit of a step down over here. That’s kind of cool because it lets the juice well up so your wicks are always sitting in some juice. I kind of like that. I think that’s neat.

Wicking

Let me show you how to wick this thing up. Cotton we’re going to be using, Cotton Bacon Prime. Grab yourself a nice strip of Cotton Bacon. Give it a twist on one end, just like so. Now what you want to do is you just want to send it through till you see, it hit the bottom like that. Then what I normally do is I take my tweezers and I kind of help it along till I get out enough of it that I can actually pull it through, just like that. Then what I like to do is I take my Vape Shears and I give it a little hair cut right on top there. I try to cut it even with the top of the deck right here, this part. I give it a little trim up to there and then I tuck it on to one side making sure not to block that squonk hole. Now the problem with this deck is this: when you squonk, all the juice that accumulates on this side, most of it is going to get sucked back in. The other thing that’s going to happen is most of the juice that you squonk is going to pull over on this side. So if you tilt your mod this way, the juice is going to spill out of it if you over squonk too much. I just want you to be aware of that.

Now we’re going to juice this thing up. We’re going to use some Vape Wild Lemon Sansation. Basically a lemon flavored pastry type of vape. Even though we have it in squonk mode, I like to wet down my wicks first. Get that top section nice and wet. Just paint it up and then give that coil a little bit of a dousing just like that. Now I’m going to show you. I’m going to put a couple of drops in the juice well. You’re going to see and it lays in there just like that. Give it a little test fire, see if we have vape. There we go, we have vapor production.

Timesvape Reverie Review

The one thing I wanted to show you that I forgot to and this is very important. You see that notch down there right there? There’s only one right way to put this barrel on. That notch has to be backed up onto that little cutout on the deck so you got to make sure that you put this side on and it’s got to fit down. See how perfectly that looks now? That’s the way it should look when you put it on. Now you can see how this top part takes up all the space so there’s no place for the flavor to go but up. Then you put your top cap back on like that and now your ready to vape on it.

Let’s cut back on top. Let’s talk about it, vape on it, cons and pros and then we’re out of here. See you back on top.

General Thoughts

Alright, everyone! We’re back on top with the Timesvape Reverie by Tenacious TX, designed specifically for a single vertical coil. You saw that build deck, man. Super, super easy to build on. Smooth airflow, that airflow is really nice. Has that drop style airflow, I guess, with like that cheese grater thing going on. Really nice and smooth. Removable deck for easy wicking. That’s not the way I wick it though. You saw it down low, how I do it. It’s got a locking barrel system, definitely like that.

Let’s get into the cons and the pros.

Cons

First con is going to be that top cap, that can be a little slippery when you’re taking it off. I wish they would have put some type of roughed up edge on it or something like that.

When you build this thing and you wick it, because you push the cotton to one side, the juice pulls on that one side. So if you tilt your mod to that side where the juices pulling in where it hasn’t got sucked back in, you can leak out of the airflow. Listen, it’s part of the design. There’s probably nothing they could have done about it but I gotta point it out as a con. So basically only one side of the deck is sucking that juice back in after you squonk it. I just want you to be aware about that.

Other con is going to be I hate the drip tips they gave with this thing. These drip tips just suck. They’re way too short and they gave the same exact drip tip, the same size, in the box. Why didn’t you guys put something different in there for the people who don’t like these crappy little short drip tips. I’m giving them a con for that.

Let’s move on to the pros.

Pros

It’s a unique single-coil vertical deck. They’re getting a pro for that.

It’s machined well and it’s got some great build quality. I’m giving them a pro.

Tensions on the o-ring are absolutely perfect. They did a great job on that.

I like all the extras that they provided. We give them a pro for that.

It’s a good squonker but I like it personally better as a dripper. We’ll give them a pro for that.

Smooth airflow, pro.

The AFC is adjustable and it’s got a smooth adjustment to it. I also like the fact that it’s got a locking barrel. We’re going to give them a pro for that.

The reduced chamber gives you some bangin flavor, especially considering it’s a vertical coil because I’m not really a vertical coil guy but I like the flavor I get off of this.

Conclusion

At the end of the day, this is definitely a really nice vertical single coil squonker. I’ve been enjoying this RDA. It’s easy to build. It’s easy to wick. It’s a single coil. If you never tried a vertical deck before, this one is definitely a good place to start.

Outro

Want to thank Element Vape for sending me this for review. We’re going to have a link down below to their website. That’s where you can go and buy it. We’ll also have a link down below to the juice I was using. I was using Vape Wild’s Lemon Sansation. I’m really not a lemon guy but this one’s light. It’s like a light lemon pastry vape, definitely diggin it. Doesn’t have that harshness that a lot of lemon vapes have.
